Agreed. If it actually has a 'click' it's still not too bad but it's not a 'friendly' switch.
Gotta press hard and sometimes ur not even sure if ur pressing it because there's no tactile feedback.
But other than that i really like it now. very comfortable to hold, and i can imagine it being very versatile when camping or working with both hands, way better than a normal flashlight.
Ok, maybe I was too hard on the MC10, it does looks cute, in a way... with diffuser on tongue.gif

Those Q Minis are sooooo good loooking!!!! drool.gif especially the Mini 123

Got 2 pieces of big 43cm Krypton Bulb Torch Light from Gwen, and straight away remove the bulb & reflector and replaced it with a 53mm MC-E drop-in from Dx making it into a 410 lumens MC-E 5D M@g. notworthy.gif

The obligatory beam shot. Ah, the flashlight body costs around RM26 and the drop-in costs around USD25.

Just brought the MC10 for a night jog, works better than all the other lights i've brought so far.

1. It's a floody light with bright spill.
2. Due to it's shape and flexibility it is extremely comfortable in the hand.

It's a keeper...

* for the gathering on the 19th, can anyone confirm that it's not a full moon? Cuz the last 2 times we went to a dark place the moons out and it really makes a big difference in light testing.

anyone knows any make and model of high CRI led flashlight? preferably something greater than 90 with above 200lm output?
Looks like only McGizmo's?

Are the neutral whites CREEs similar to the Nichia High CRI's? The comparisons shown here, High CRI and its significance (I could see some pics), seems to be similar to CREE's neutral white emitters.

Out of reach at the moment for McGizmo... drool.gif cry.gif
current neutral white emitters offerings has yet to reach the CRI level of Nichia's. Only some rare quantity are floating around customs and modders. May finally give-up searching for complete flashlight and go for drop-in instead. sweat.gif

I'm still a cool white fan! tongue.gif The XRE-R2s and XPE-R2s seems to have improved in color rendering. The Q5s if driven at 700mA> they seem to be alot cooler. Maybe CREE will eventually fall into High CRIs? It's also been quite some time already sweat.gif I think they're focusing too much for more lumens per watt rather than on CRI unsure.gif

I think the Nichia focus on their phosphor to have more "red" into the spectrum. Just trying to make sense. Since they are using a different phosphor. It does make a difference in colours biggrin.gif

Hello everyone,

For your info if you guys haven't known yet. Post #2, #3 and #4 has been updated with information! cool2.gif It's flexible and more categories can be added. This format will be brought forward into V4 next time.

In the Flashlight Collection section, if I have missed out any of your list or images, please post it here and I will add it in wink.gif Meanwhile, I'm still going through v1 & 2 when I have the time to list out the lights. There are still some members I have in mind not in the list yet.

Cheers!
