*ahem* anyway... im gonna say something sensitive here.........

You know, surefire discussions @ cpf has been very touchy touchy... and it's a part of CPF I'm not sure I like abt this attitude, although it has been quite educative biggrin.gif. I don't doubt surefires' reputable class and their success in the flashlight industry. But it shouldn't discourage people from sharing their experiences, and if they choose something else as their own preference and price or they hit a dud on one. There are still posters who give their valid experiences and legitimate insights, but there are many that kinda take it too far in defending the brand. Just something like "I would choose a fenix over surefire because.." can lead to war!

I agree with Alan.
Liking and respecting a brand is one thing.
But totally putting down another brand is another.
I just really really want to see a Surefire extreme torture test.
Does anyone have any link to any?

Haha, I think everywhere is like that, ppl just love to quarrel.

For the topic "surefire", in my collection I have more surefire flashlights than any other brand, but I still don't think other light is not good.
For example, if I can only take 1 light, I will like to take Fenix P3D in my bag rather than 1 surefire. Cause Fenix has more mode, and good quality , runtime. Price is also much lower. But I am also like surefire for the lifetime quality for collection, and versatile , quality trusted light.

I don't need its a need to choose which 1 is better, all of them are equally good in their respective field/price. You guys know I have many cheapo DX light, haha, they are just as good, consider the price. flex.gif drool.gif

Mini US Shopping Spree quick update....3rd April 2010

All items arrived ! It will be ship out on Monday [ Tuesday in MY ] cos there's lot of items he need to repack it.....for protection purpose. He need to prepare the invoice for it for insurance purpose.....he need to find/buy a much larger box to fit everything inside....

Note :
1. Everything will be shipped in only 1 parcel
2. The weight of this parcel already exceeded 20lbs sweat.gif
3. Express Mail shipping + insurance costing estimated to be within USD160 - USD200 [ we will find out on Tuesday.... ]
4. Total value of this shipment is approximately USD1,800++

So question for all the participants;

1. Do you guys want to lower the declared value? [ the insurance value will be the same as the declared value ]
2. What's the value do you prefer to declare ? [ anything exceeding RM500 will be subjected to custom tax.... ]

my stuffs [ maglite & novatac storm ] also don't need insurance tongue.gif

okie, the final declare value of this parcel is USD 450 + USD 490 + USD 89 = USD 1,000 [ USD 1,029 to be exact.... ] sweat.gif

i'm suggesting that we split the shipping cost by weight of the items.... all agree? i'll pay for whatever expenses involved first [ fee, shipping and tax -if applicable ], once i have the items, i will weight it and split it accordingly.....i'm not very good in calculating/numbers, perhaps polkiuj could assist me in this ya laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif
