QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Feb 22 2010, 04:51 AM) Wah so fluffy...wanna ask 1 thing previously panda gal cage's water is bottle feed or bowl feed ah? It seem not use to bottle feed de.. Wah.. My two male once saw her damn miang... Keep on wheeking and humping each other.. Like stating who is d boss 1st doh.. I hav to put up a close fence to d cage as i put their cage side my side... My two males keep biting d cage seem like wanna go to her cage.. Wanna ask normally 4 to 5 month is safe to breed d right? I mean d female.. And panda gal is 2 month plus right? Can bath her d right? Well..although the book stated ideal breeding age is 4 months old onwards. I personally think fully mature for pregnancy age is best at 6 months old. I never experienced any pregnancy of my SOW below 6 months old. 6 months old still has not reach full size yet, kind of pitty for the SOW to carry big belly, where its belly was stretch to the max, after birth the belly may not shrink back in shape. This is what I observed from the SOW I adopted from one guy. All my gps are water bottle feed. I don't use bowl feed, as bowl feed water easily get contaminated. No worry...new environment always not dared to eat and drink. Just leave it there, after some hours she will figure out the new environment. |

QUOTE(Crys_Crys @ Feb 22 2010, 12:27 PM) but last night firecracker is too loud.. even as a human also the heart skip a beat.. It is still not reaching palm size yet. In fact the other Peruvian's babies which are few days old, are catching up with these 3 babies size. Ivory (your Yuki's mom) is quite slander, not very glutton type. Whereas Brindle all this while is very glutton and chubby type, that's why her babies are all very healthy.yeah yeah so cute.. especially the eye part .. so sepet but no sepet .. haha ... more funny when its drinking water ... |

My sister in AU, when summer time, the weather is reaching 40C, she gives her rabbits cold pack, and her rabbits would sit next to the cold pack.
I have not try this yet, may be this would be a good idea for our hot weather too. |

QUOTE(static @ Feb 23 2010, 12:07 AM) When i had my other GP (i used to have 2, one died already), i had a dog too (also died last year due to old age, 13.5 years Hmm....my GPs are housed outside some more....last night also got lots of fire works nearby until 3am. This morning my car was fulled of firework ashes...luckily my GPs and bunnies are all ok wor....These days when it's raining thunderstorm, my dad will make sure the other surviving GP doesnt get scared shitless. Btw, I do not provide hide-out for my GPs, they all are forced to get use to the environment. One thing I observed is, if you provide hide-out space for your GPs, they will forever scare and won't bond with you. Hehehe...my gps and rabbits are not afraid of my dogs. One of my dogs can open the GP cage door and eat up their food or their poos. I think my GPs get used to this crazy monster. |

QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Feb 24 2010, 10:04 AM) my gp get dirty so fast @.@ the last time i bath them is on 13th. Ytd night i saw their body so dirty >.< So many poo poo on their fur, especially the white peru... i dunno how she did it lol! Well..white color is very nice to see hard to maintain. Even my white Sheltie, 2 days after bathing the fur on the abdomen part already yellowish.Either you need to bath them more often, or use fleece base with cat litter absorb the pee, may help to deter yellowish mark. |

RIP little one~ T.T Added on February 25, 2010, 12:35 pm QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Feb 25 2010, 09:51 AM) No, i feed them very little vege. Sometimes only 2-3 times a week. Each time i give is half of carrot. sometimes i give cucumber. This morning i look at her and she still look very weak like last night. Sit there and din't move at all. And again, i force feed her again this morning. She can hardly eat the critical care..... i had a bad feeling about this Curious to know how much portion of cucumber you give each time to 1 GP? Honestly I hardly give cucumber to my GPs. And I noticed lots of petshops like to feed cucumber to any small animals, cucumber doesn't have much nutritional value. I would rather feed them broccoli, pandan, corn leaf and sawi. This post has been edited by Juztiny: Feb 25 2010, 12:35 PM |

QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Feb 25 2010, 02:44 PM) Yeah i'm using the dog cage. If i'm not wrong, Juztiny also using the dog cages. Thanks alot Actually there is another type which has closer gap than dog cage I saw meant for Rabbit and small animals. Normally I will use dog cage for the adult GP, for baby cannot use that, the body size could go thru the 1 1/2" gap. |

Today I made a plastic netting frame for my zoo zone base. Actually I don't really like to use zoo zone type of cage, but since my friend gave me 3 units, and I don't think I could be that lucky to sell off 3. So I used two and intend to sell off the other one.
I have to create this sort of frame so that my piggies won't step or soak in pee or poo. To buy the plastic frame for dogs type, cost very expensive may cost a total of RM50 to cover the base. Therefore I buy the plastic wiring conceal tube case, and use the glue gun to glue them and the netting. Only spent about RM10 to make. After that I put another layer of toilet mat on top of this frame. LOL! I quite amazed with my own creativity! Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(5h1rl3y @ Feb 26 2010, 07:25 PM) Juztiny... Oh..You like that one tri-color with cream, dark choc and white type? But currently I put the father alone (the father exactly same color). Not enough female to accompany him. I don't really fancy breeding pure Abby. I prefer to breed out nicer-look Abby, like Abbyruvian, longer fur type. Recently trying to focus on breeding out Coronet and pure Sheltie babies first. Wait till my female Abbyruvian (also tri-color) mature enough then only breed her with that tri-color Abby.I wanna ask.. any possibilities that you'd breed Shebby? I saw the tri-color shebby baby that you sold to mudah.com customer on your blog... I've been eyeing your cavy babies, but my eyes always end up with the tri-color shebby... @__@ Recently I'm also buzy with collecting nice looking rabbits too. I have 5 pairs of long fur coat type of rabbits. This post has been edited by Juztiny: Feb 26 2010, 08:13 PM |

Added on February 26, 2010, 8:08 pmoh yeah and she keep drink a lot of water!!! That's a good sign that she is able to drink and eat!! We should be worried when piggies doesn't want to eat or drink. Oh, btw, regarding the comb, I went to the petshop this afternoon, it is currently out of stock, the owner is waiting for the new stock coming. Once the stock arrived, I will post it to you. QUOTE(Crys_Crys @ Feb 26 2010, 08:34 PM) Hmm.....she so used to that behaviour as she was living with 6 GPs in one cage and fighting for food in the bowl. Some of the gps would quickly jump into the food bowl, and use thier butts to block out others.Give her some time, once she knows no one will fight with her for the food in this big cage, she would probably no longer mesh up the food bowl. QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Feb 26 2010, 11:06 PM) Usually i feed my GP 24/7 pallets. Guinea pigs is an eating machine I seriously speechless in hearing all the bad news on the GP babies I sold you. You took them home that time, they were already 5-6 weeks old babies in early Jan. They should be more stronger and healthier compare to other GP babies I sold which normally are out in 3-4 weeks old, your GPs get to drink their mom's milk for so long. Today i got 1 good news and 1 bad news to share. The good news is, my brindle GP is doing fine. After feeding critical care and bring him to see vet, he's able to move and wheek at me today. But he stil unable to eat himself. Even, i give him sawi, he can tear the leaves but very hard to chew and cannot chew pallets. I saw his tray got a few pallets, shows that he had tried to eat but no energy. Maybe he still weak, but still can wheek at me and keep nip my hand because he's hungry. Thats make me feel so glad... made me worried for 2 days hehe. So today still hand feed him using the critical care. The bad news is about my other GP again, Maruko. The agouti gp from Juztiny . This time is not diarhea... it's her leg. I don't know which part of her leg got problem. But can see that she keep lying sitting there the whole day. When she wan to move toward the food, can see that she's using her front leg power more than the back leg. And of course her butt keep sticking on the mat. Is it because her back leg is paralyze? I think i need to bring her to the vet for check up again. Whenever i hold her, she will wheek continuously..... i think she's crying because of the pain. I check through her bone, No broken bone and No injury. But the good thing is, she's still can eat and drink normally. So shouldn't be worry that much. Added on February 26, 2010, 11:07 pmI felt very sad, so many things happens to my Guinea pigs. May be you are really unlucky |
