From the point of total rebates offered ... a likely yes. However, you can't just take it from that single perspective. I mean to enjoy 1% rebate you have to spend more than $6k and to enjoy 3% rebate you have to spend more than $20k. Would anyone disagree with me that it is quite a lot of money to spend on a monthly basis ?
*
hehe, maybe he's a big spender

anyone know how credit card reversal works?

I made some transaction, but transaction failed, but credit card already charged, the merchant said they have reverse my credit card.
*
if transaction failed, the charge should not incurred
if the transaction went through, the best way is to reverse the transaction (you'll get a reversal slip of the exact amount of the previously charged amount)

I swiped RM30.80 in Watson last week, then I found out they didn't include the discount on one of the item
the cashier swipe another -RM30.80 (the slip stated reversal), factor in the discount and then swipe another time for the correct amount

It is on a case-by-case basis so I do not think the bank will put the promise down in black and white. Again, let's hope the bank was not playing a game.

i don't thk they dare to mess around with their important customers

Erh, definitely not a big fish ie. does RM1K CL sounds like a biggie to you ?  brows.gif    and yes, its an outright waiver ie. not vouchers or $mart RM$ etc. In fact was quite surprised when they called up actually. According to the CSO, it will be reflected as service tax paid  tongue.gif

And nope, am not a PB customer nor have any loans with UOB, just only have CCs. No black & white but the CSO gave staff id and all and confirmed its a real deal  rclxm9.gif

hehe, let's hope more will follow soon

even when they say its effective immediately?

My opinion only:
effective immediately = the cc cannot be used anymore, incl online transaction
but the account will need to be process and close by the card centre

I believe it can still be used for online transaction as technically it is still a valid card and you will only need to enter the credit card numbers.
*
aren't they suppose to block the cc on the spot?

Hey guys,

I've started a poll on which card to keep, here's the link:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1258782

The poll title should read

"which Card you want to KEEP" instead of cut. I realized the mistake after starting the poll that user only allowed to vote once, so, it is more appropriate if the poll reflects the ONLY card that you'll be keeping instead of cutting.

Let's see which bank come out top on this, it'll be interesting  tongue.gif

Please vote !  icon_question.gif

how come no SCB Justone? rolleyes.gif
and i decided to keep 3 cards tongue.gif

anyway, have submitted my results

I am also having Alliance Visa Plat which gives a similar rebate rate. In fact, Younique used to be a backup to my Alliance Plat in the event that the monthly cash back of my Alliance Plat has reached the max rebate of RM68.75.

With this, now I have 1 MC - SCB JustOne Titanium, 1 Visa - Alliance Visa Plat, and 1 Amex - Amex Gold cc. My initial plan was to cancel Amex Gold cc too, but the current 15% cash back promotion creates a U-turn for me. biggrin.gif
*
ic, i'm still holding 3 cards, 2 same with u - JustOne and AMEX
the other one is PBB MU - coz got rebate up to RM50/month until March 10 tongue.gif

but sadly no visa, maybe will get alliance visa next yr
