it should be 11-0 considering the quality of player we have.

QUOTE(ijamz @ Jan 7 2010, 09:31 PM) 5-0 is good enough la dude. like esca said it could've been a banana skin, but we went through the gears quite well and avoided injury. hull tomorrow will be a whole different game though! agree with u mad! if there's a chance to add something different to the squad, we shouldn't refuse that opportunity. the squad's good, but even the best squads continually add to their personnel for future development, extra backup and so on. good thing gourlay seems to be echoing our sentiments as mentioned by arnesen, in his latest interview on our site! |

News update
Nemanja Matic the man to fill the holding role at Chelsea, says Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti QUOTE Carlo Ancelotti has identified Nemanja Matic as a player he can mould into a holding midfielder to solve one of Chelsea’s problem positions. i personally love his footwork, may he become a better replacement for essien.Ancelotti has tried John Mikel Obi, Michael Eessien, Juliano Belletti and Michael Ballack in the role without total satisfaction and is now short of options with Obi and Essien at the Africa Cup of Nations. Matic, 21, has made rapid progress since signing from Slovak club MFK Kosice in the summer with a broken foot. And Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen said: ‘With his old club he was a box-to-box midfielder, but Carlo sees he can play the holding position.’ Essien, who tore a hamstring against APOEL on December 8, will travel to join the Ghana squad on Saturday with the club doctor source Chelsea could be slapped with £8m bill by Manchester City for signing of Daniel Sturridge QUOTE Chelsea could face a £8m bill for their signing of striker Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City at a Premier League tribunal next week. im sure they're trying to messing with us. 8M couldnt be posibble, he was a reserved player at city FFS The 20-year-old was Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti's first signing after taking over as manager last summer. But City are entitled to claim 'development costs' for Sturridge who came through their academy despite the fact he was out of contract after he rejected an offer of a new deal worth £45,000-a-week at Eastlands. City value Sturridge at £8m - four times more than the figure Chelsea are prepared to offer, reports The Daily Express. City's case is strengthened by the fact Sturridge, who signed a four-year deal worth £75,000-a-week at Chelsea when he was still 19, has broken into Ancelotti's first team. He recently scored two goals in the Blues' 5-0 win over Watford in the FA Cup and Ancelotti is prepared to use him while Didier Drogba is on Africa Cup of Nations duty this month. The two clubs will put their cases to a Premier League tribunal next Thursday. Chelsea could be ordered to pay £5m with another £3m based on appearances. Ironically, City had to pay around £250,000 in compensation themselves after they 'poached' Sturridge from Coventry City's academy when he was just 13. |
