yeap. it was certainly effective to see Ancelotti making some changes that brought results. adding more width and space with 3 strikers up front certainly did the job. yuri should have finished the game i think, why bother putting ashley in? yuri did pretty well, but if it was because of fitness, i understand.

the back still looked shaky.

iva did a brilliant cross and drogba finished. the best cross of the game.

4-3-3 did gave blues the goals......ancelotti should start using this formation till essien, bosingwa, anelka returns...

in the end i'm happy with cheleasa 2nd half performance....but we could have finished 3-1 / 4-1.

happy sleeping blues... whistling.gif

wohoo a very crucial win for the team. satisfied with overall performance but cech still shaky. he seems to lose control of his own defense line. should be a commander in defending.

vey very very satisfied with zhirkov performance. zhirkov = godlike. he didnt misplaced his pass. did not lose possession. jynx run = superb. direct run = superb. looks like flomo really need to work harder. if not, sure zhirkov will take over.

wohhooo cannot describe how satisfied i am with the win. YAAAAY!

if we're to play crosses in to the box, i hope uncle lotti picks the right wingbacks. ferreira was awful until iva came on. he's crossing seems to get better.

petr cech, what's wrong with him? seem to lack communication with the back line these days, making silly mistakes that made our hearts skip a beat.

sturridge made an impact after coming on, hope we can count on him to poach(or create) the goals (with anelka) during the anc month

mikel needs to practise some long range shots. the commentator said he rarely hits the target when he shoots, which is true and which is also why he hasn't scored a league goal for us..

zhirkov is a good attacking option but defensively i'd still put my money on ashley. that's why i think ancelotti brought him on for to protect our lead.

i wished drogba would stay on his feet more often and play like he did in the 2nd half everytime, for 90 minutes, 38 games. but he was shackled by pantsil effectively in the first half, which caused trouble for us cos our crosses were mostly going to him.

as for lampard, i hope he keeps trying to improve his game. ballack has been underperforming lately i'd say. his corners were easy meat and did gave away some fouls and possesion too easily. j.cole still seem short of match fitness hmm? i was hoping kakuta get thrown in for joey.

glad we won this, even if we did it the hard way.

I thought I rarely saw Ashley Cole during his appearance.
I think Zhirkov defend better than Cole

Ashley did leaked the ball through to fulham's forward but I think Ancelotti made that substitution with the assumption that ashley would peform better defensively than probably, a tired zhirkov?

But yeah, zhirkov did play well.

MOTM picks, anyone?

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
TOP OF THE LEAGUE AT THE END OF THE DECADE!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

4-3-3 should be used during papa drog absence or a diamond when anelka back from his injury. we looked better even defensively with that formation.
ferreira's crossing is so bad, its not even funny. well, sometime we just need a little bit of luck. kalou to sturridge and then you know what happen next!? i think carlo's plan B works really well. my MOTM definitely didier drogba, he is such an aspiration for the team and excellent contribution from young sturridge. and owh yeah, we gotta give credit to ivanovic too, he is the REAL SUPER SUB! not kalou tongue.gif

great shot back across schwarzer, and i'd be inclined to award the goal to him. tongue.gif

haih i think its a severe lack of communication. he sometimes jumps into anybody in front of him when a cross comes in, regardless if it reaches an opposition player or not! i wouldn't be too hard on him though, as he's been quite solid in the games before this. saved our asses on more than a few occasions.
actually i think zhirkov had a fairly 'plain' game at LB. was looking forward to seeing him further up in attack where he works best. overall he looked a bit short in confidence going forward with his quick feet dribbling notably absent, but a lack of games will do that to any player. he can only get better from now.

MOTM for me has to be invanovic. once again proving to be our most consistent player during this awful patch of form. if he started, trust me the first goal from fulham wouldn't have gone in. his crossing is steadily getting better. a late clearing header off dempsey when everyone else had left him in acres of space.

the other super sub (sturridge) wouldn't have gotten the goal had it not been for kalou's brilliant dribbling down the right touchline, and perfectly placed ball across fulham's keeper. credit where its due. smile.gif he was a constant terror for their defense, especially in the second half where he played further wide. hit the bar with a brilliant effort, and went on to setup lampard late on in the game, but he just didn't have the confidence to take a touch and whack it with his left foot.

as much as we'd like to, we still can't ignore the glaring negatives : lamps still hasn't recovered his shooting boots, bally looked like he was ready to collapse (2 corners going straight into a ONE MAN wall? please..) and over-reliance on didier continues. to be honest we played worse than against birmingham, the only difference is we were that much more bloody clinical with our finishing this time around. two clear cut chances, put away both of them. this is the type of standard we have to maintain. not 500 shots on goal, 300 on target and 0 goals.
an ugly win but a good 3 points.

The code is written on the megastore website itself. It's '15OFF'. Shipping fee is HKD110 last I checked.

i wonder if there is any live telecast for the Watford FA Cup game?

Who do you think will start? Will we stick to the diamond or adopt the 433?

Heard that Anelka will be back for the Watford game though. Hmmm, I hope this time Borini gets a start.

wow...brilliant sub...

lotti subbed ivanovic in, iva assisted for the equalizer....

lotti subbed sturridge in, sturridge made the goal opening (although it was an own goal, i still see sturridge as the scorer, i dont care XD)

this is brilliant....

n hey... i think i finally am starting to like sturridge (i dont really fancy youngsters much btw)

his passes were fresh, and fairly accurate, and his pace, his semangat to impress...... impressed me.

i shout like a d1ck when we scored the equalizer (thanks pantsil for chowing out of the game, coz he's damn good at stopping droggy)

then winning goal, i was quiet for awhile, stunned...then shout for joy again..,my neighbours must've been swearing >.<

good game, well played.

As far as I know (and checked about 2 weeks ago), there'll be no live telecast for our FA cup match. Back to streaming it is then.

Ivanovic was superb, finally we have the solution to our RB problem which was really critical prior to Iva and Bos's arrival at SB. And we now have 2 classy RBs to choose from (once they're fit). Adding to A Cole and Yuri on the left, absolute nightmare for opposing defenders/wings.

Nic should be fit for the next game, partnering Sturridge then. Deco Ballack Lamps Flo Joey Yuri even Matic can fill any 4 of the midfield slots, provided all are fit. Back 4 should start with Terry Ricky A Cole and Iva, with Cech in goal.

One of Borini or Kakuta should be on the bench just to keep both Nic and Sturridge on their toes, or in the event Nic can't last the full 90.

i think those that rarely start should start against watford. maybe bruma can fit in one of the back 4? matic can have a go at the DM position while studgy partners nico up front. and if we do get an early lead i hope ancelotti will field in more youngsters in the attack and keep the back four solid.

Yup, can confirm there will be no live telecast for the FA Cup game against Watford this Sunday. Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool matches will be shown live instead.
