sturridge awaits his first league goal for chelsea..

i think we can expect more to come from him!
great shot back across schwarzer, and i'd be inclined to award the goal to him.

if we're to play crosses in to the box, i hope uncle lotti picks the right wingbacks. ferreira was awful until iva came on. he's crossing seems to get better.
petr cech, what's wrong with him? seem to lack communication with the back line these days, making silly mistakes that made our hearts skip a beat.
mikel needs to practise some long range shots. the commentator said he rarely hits the target when he shoots, which is true and which is also why he hasn't scored a league goal for us..
zhirkov is a good attacking option but defensively i'd still put my money on ashley. that's why i think ancelotti brought him on for to protect our lead.
i wished drogba would stay on his feet more often and play like he did in the 2nd half everytime, for 90 minutes, 38 games. but he was shackled by pantsil effectively in the first half, which caused trouble for us cos our crosses were mostly going to him.
as for lampard, i hope he keeps trying to improve his game. ballack has been underperforming lately i'd say. his corners were easy meat and did gave away some fouls and possesion too easily. j.cole still seem short of match fitness hmm? i was hoping kakuta get thrown in for joey.
glad we won this, even if we did it the hard way.
haih i think its a severe lack of communication. he sometimes jumps into anybody in front of him when a cross comes in, regardless if it reaches an opposition player or not! i wouldn't be too hard on him though, as he's been quite solid in the games before this. saved our asses on more than a few occasions.
actually i think zhirkov had a fairly 'plain' game at LB. was looking forward to seeing him further up in attack where he works best. overall he looked a bit short in confidence going forward with his quick feet dribbling notably absent, but a lack of games will do that to any player. he can only get better from now.

ferreira's crossing is so bad, its not even funny. well, sometime we just need a little bit of luck. kalou to sturridge and than you know what happen next!? i think carlo's plan B works really well. my MOTM definitely didier drogba, he is such an aspiration for the team and excellent contribution from young sturridge. and owh yeah, we gotta give credit to ivanovic too, he is the REAL SUPER SUB! not kalou

MOTM for me has to be invanovic. once again proving to be our most consistent player during this awful patch of form. if he started, trust me the first goal from fulham wouldn't have gone in. his crossing is steadily getting better. a late clearing header off dempsey when everyone else had left him in acres of space.
the other super sub (sturridge) wouldn't have gotten the goal had it not been for kalou's brilliant dribbling down the right touchline, and perfectly placed ball across fulham's keeper. credit where its due.

he was a constant terror for their defense, especially in the second half where he played further wide. hit the bar with a brilliant effort, and went on to setup lampard late on in the game, but he just didn't have the confidence to take a touch and whack it with his left foot.
as much as we'd like to, we still can't ignore the glaring negatives : lamps still hasn't recovered his shooting boots, bally looked like he was ready to collapse (2 corners going straight into a ONE MAN wall? please..) and over-reliance on didier continues. to be honest we played worse than against birmingham, the only difference is we were that much more bloody clinical with our finishing this time around. two clear cut chances, put away both of them. this is the type of standard we have to maintain. not 500 shots on goal, 300 on target and 0 goals.
an ugly win but a good 3 points.
