After a third season in England which was punctuated by injury, Robben moved to Spanish club Real Madrid for €35 million.

Real madrid was chasing him and he decided to move. And chelsea have sought out a replacement for him, Florent Malouda.

IMO, if not due to his injury prone, I'd say he's the best left winger in the world. But nowadays you see a lot of good Unorthodox left-wingers (right-footed) like robinho and ribery =P

QUOTE(Nabeyl @ Dec 21 2009, 03:08 PM)
overall our players look tired, i cant see the hunger anymore. we need to buckle up and concentrate. drogba and anelka need each other, by looking at our display last night i REALLY think that we probably cant survive this january.

we need to buy this transfer window and making the right transfer could be the difference between winning and losing the title. i'd take anyone right now. anyone consistent who can shoot the ball or take on a defender and actually beat his man, not run around him and lose the ball. stop saying our team is complete and we dont need to buy any player carlo, because you know what happen last night.
*
good point there. i agree they look tired but the hunger is still there. the only problem is their minds are fully focused and their bodies just aren't 'responding' accordingly. this is what age can do to you when games start to pile up. it really does seem like our epl season will depend on how well we perform this january. if we choose to persevere with the same aging players, i fear the worst. however, if somehow carlo starts putting more faith in zhirkov, kakuta, and studge, i won't put it past them to step up and make a huge mark on the team as well as results. we have many players waiting in the wings, eager to prove themselves. it may just be what we need.
studge coming on and having a blinder is a good example. yes he gave the ball away a few times, but his burst of pace and eagerness (compared to certain seniors) was a constant threat to west ham.

nope. he got nudged towards the exit door to put it lightly. fact : jose did not like flair players. i'm not sure if he's changed that philosophy at inter. after robben started becoming more prone to injury, his relationship with the gaffer fell apart. we all know what happened after that. such a waste but nothing we can do about it now.

Our full Xmas games schedule;

Bir v Che 26/12 Live 813 2040
Che v Ful 28/12 Live 813 2255
Che v Watford (FA) 3/1

Both Bir and Ful are in-form at the moment, time for the boys to knuckle in and get 6 points to not derail our title challenge.

birm and hull fixtures suddenly look really really difficult now. i miss essien and bosingwa sad.gif
on a lighter note, kakuta scored for the reserves! it wound up a 5-3 defeat away to celtic, but bear in mind they had 5 first teamers starting the game. can't wait for the highlights!
