I'm quite agree with Ichighost regarding the marquee signing. It doesn't have to be many. At least one new player who is is already proven at the highest level. Maybe in the age of around 24-27. I believe this is the range where most player is climbing to their peak years.

IMO, if any defender or midfielder leave, we doesn't need to make new signings. If really want to make new signings, better if we can land a utility player that can play at many position. This is because we have many talents (and some are very eager to prove themselves) in this midfield and defender department.

The thing we need to consider is when drogba and anelka start to slow down. Football is won by winning the match ie by scoring goals. Therefore, when didi and anelka start to slow down, we better make a really good signing to replace these guys. Striking department is very very important. You can have 90% possession but if your striker is impotent in front of the goal, it will be useless.

Besides the hot stuff like Aguero and Pato, one name cross my mind which is Andre-Pierre Gignac. A fancy player. Got the height and balance. Good footwork and eyes for goals. Obviously he is in the mould of anelka.

For the match against stoke, i hope nobody will be seriously injured. We know accident can happen. It is not my intention to blame Shawcross for his tackle on Ramsey, but let us pray everybody will be good after the game ^^

btw, i agree with madfag. we must capitalize on their misfortune and win the game against bolton. as a fan, we must hope and pray our team to do their best and win against every opponent. then only we can pray that other team 'facilitate' our way to glory. if we want something, we must work for it. this is the mentality ^^

the game against bolton will be crucial. the last time we meet, bolton was destroyed by smalling's own goal (assisted by sturridge if i'm not mistaken). the team should work hard and a bit of rotation should be good because the matches are very pack now.

hm, i just realize that drogba is just one goal behind rooney in the top score table despite missing nearly a month of action due to ACN. impressive! with five game left (and 4 for united), i hope the golden boot will be his at the end of the season. GO DROGBA!!
