QUOTE(Ichighost @ Jan 28 2010, 11:22 PM) Nice game...and joey have a nice run against Birmingham..Good for Lamp...he must aim to score more long range goal...cuz he, drogba and essien is the best long range shooter in the squad..hheheheh about the transfer rumors..i think better for Carlo to take a closer look...cuz this upcoming World Cup gonna produce a lot of good players that we dont even expected before...sign this summer...this winter i think we can survive... If Carlo want to sign a striker my wish list : Lukas Podolski ( Cheaper and can play both striker and winger ) Heheheh Podolski NO~!!! Just joking, i have nothing against him hardly see his game too summer ? world cup star ? but we are ban from transfer

can we now declare lampsy as back to his best? those long range pile drivers are beginning to find their target, and what an important period for them to do so! good solid performance all around, including from deco. kalou, didier and mikel (welcome back!) are all on the way home, and it seems we're back to full strength minus essien. strangely, it turned out we didn't miss them that much anyway! arsenal dropping points against villa only adds to the glad tidings, whilst their clash vs the devils this weekend will be a mouthwatering one. a draw would be nice. heheh. welcome to the thread lampard7

probably drogba will be playing againts burnley. would love to see him pairing with on fire anelka. i wont underestimate burnley if i was carlo, they beat MU and drew with Arse at home, so lets put our full strength this weekend. no more dropping crucial points. CHELSEA'S FRANK LAMPARD GOING FOR OSGOOD» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « FRANK Lampard is gunning for Peter Osgood in a bid to fire Chelsea to title glory with a barrage of goals.
Lampard’s deadly double in Wednesday night’s 3-0 win over Birmingham shot the Blues to the top of the table.
It also took his tally for the season to 13 – and he is now just seven shy of Chelsea great Osgood’s 150 career goals for the club. Matching that total would mean only Kerry Dixon and Bobby Tambling had ever scored more times for the Blues.
And Lampard reckons hitting that target could help make sure they are celebrating another championship triumph come May.
The midfielder said: “I’ve set the benchmark of 20 goals a season and I’d love to be there again.
“I’m on 13 now and if I can carry on, keeping scoring and helping the team, and get to 20, I’d be very pleased.
“That would put me on 150 and level with Peter Osgood. Funnily enough, I know exactly how many I need. I’ve got it all in my head.
“Scoring 20 goals would put me level with Osgood and Roy Bentley. I’d love to get there. Osgood is the Chelsea legend – him and Franco Zola.
“I know how the fans hold him, so to get up with him and Bentley – the captain when we won the league all those years ago – would be great.”
Chelsea are a point clear of Manchester United and could make it four by winning at Burnley tomorrow, with United travelling to Arsenal on Sunday.
Lampard said: “Those kind of little mental things are great during the season. Burnley is a very tough game. They are fighting there in the bottom three.
“But if we can carry on as we’re playing – with the quality, the attitude and the passing – we’ll have a great chance to open up that gap.
“But we’ll still be a long way short of saying it’s cut and dried, because we know what this league is like.”
Lampard went 10 games without a goal earlier this season, although his barren spell is now well and truly over after hitting five in his last four games. He added: “You have patches when you don’t score and then patches when they go in for you.
“When it was a bit barren, I worked hard in training, practising my shooting, getting into positions.
“Sometimes you feel like whatever you do you can’t score and other days you feel that whenever you shoot it goes in. I’ll try to keep that going as long as I can.”
Lampard also played tribute to team-mate Joe Cole’s recent return to form, claiming he’s sending a message to Fabio Capello.
Cole had a hand in two of the goals on Wednesday night and is starting to look back to his best after a long-term knee injury.
Lampard said: “I hope for Joe that he’s back in the next England squad. He completely deserves that for the hard work he’s put in.”
