Goldman Sachs Execs are currently being grilled at US Senate.
Fun to watch those suits defending themselves and their 'synthetic' products. biggrin.gif

hihi DJ traders.... smile.gif
could it be because Greece credit rating is cut to Junk by S&P ??
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/sp-cuts-g...atus-2010-04-27

i think Greece is a goner already....  sweat.gif
*
Yes, Greece borrowing cost has risen to 15%, much higher than Nigeria itself.
Ha! Greece is a joke. Now, they're afraid it will spread to Portugal and Spain. laugh.gif

Update:
I've loaded up another batch of TCK @ 40.40 and X @ 56.90.

Since the suit was filed Friday, there's been a wave of reports showing that Goldman wasn't alone in structuring products for clients looking to short the mortgage market. UBS AG (UBS  15.46, -0.83, -5.10%)  and Deutsche Bank AG(DB  69.87, -3.29, -4.50%)  did it.
J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.  (JPM  42.58, -1.31, -2.99%)

I'm trying to search CITIGroup involvement. None come to my search so far.
*
I believe all these big banks got their hands in the cookie jar. They know about those 'synthetic' products.
They sell it anyway 'coz it was all rubber stamped by wall street rating agencies as AAA.

Goldman Sach (leader of this dirty pack) just a bit advance in their knowledge and double-hedge on the short side in 2007 and 2008.

What's the outcome if Goldman is guilty? Perhaps, they'll get fined a couple of millions here and there. That's all.
The thing that is uncertain is how the banks will be regulated. More tougher laws for them to do this kind of thing in future?
IM, already too late! But, they'll find another loophole to find and cheat more money out of the ordinary folks through another means.

there is a reason why ABK is being dumped..

Option closing today.. they want to close lower..

then tomorrow can surge back..
*
IMO, ABK play for me is game over. This was just a speculative 'goreng' play on that 'lucky' day only.
Not worth the time or pennies on this thing.

Better put money in C or other financials than ABK. nod.gif

Closing update (5:28am)
Dow 10991.99 -213.04 -1.90%
Nasdaq 2471.47 -51.48 -2.04%
S&P 500 1183.71 -28.34 -2.34%

Wow! shocking.gif I walked away for a quick break and come back 1hr later.. another -3 digits. much deeper than I thought. We're finally back below 11K. We didn't get a -200 points pull back since Feb correction. It certainly looks like another one is coming. sweat.gif

Here's the thing. Market has been up over 5% since last high in Jan and we reclaimed back over 10%
since Feb low. The current issues on Greece, financial reform and potential China are just as
good enough excuses as any to take money off the table now.

I think we may close in red today as the internals are weak and may accelerate soon.

Time to close some positions that are still green or at least put trailing stops in there.

Update: 10:20pm
Ok, I took a bite at STEC @ 15.40. I've looked at STEC and despite yesterday selloff, STEC remains pretty strong and bullish. If the market turn upside, I think it will run up. nod.gif

I just took a peek at the internals.. advance/decline ratios are dropping, percentage of stocks above 50MA are dropping to 75% from 78%, and VIX has climbed. I think this pull back hasn't bottom yet. Funds still want their money off the table.

But, if you're longer term player, the market IS still bullish. Look at those good stocks and if they're battered during this time, time to get some.

I'm waiting for CSCO to pull back a bit more.. perhaps below $26.80 to increase my position. brows.gif

Nasdaq 2471.73 +0.26 +0.01%
S&P 500 1191.39 +7.68 +0.65%

Here's what they gave back today.. not much but I guess its' start.
Blame the PPT and Bilderberg, they don't want this market to go south.
But, I'm sure one day, they'll be exposed! laugh.gif

ING is my 3rd popular stock trade. Rilex kawan2x..

GENW, AES, AIG oso jatuh longkang. BUY and HOLD. Insurance business will not go south as company will buy INSURANCE to cover (HEDGE)

AIG is more volatile than 3x ETF.. still not dare to touch it. sweat.gif

Btw, anyone bought PALM? Now, HPQ owns it. But, I pity those HPQ shareholders.
IMO, PALM is old skool now and a losing money proposition for HPQ. Not sure why they even want
to buy Palm. rclxub.gif

U heard it first here, I pick-up those which is interesting only.
...
Direxion Daily Malaysia Bull 3X Shares,
Direxion Daily Malaysia Bear 3X Shares,

...
Direxion Daily Indonesia Bull 3X Shares, [Someone saying that INDO is hot bubble??]
Direxion Daily Indonesia Bear 3X Shares,
...
Great! Now we can finally short ourselves.. 3 times leverage too. rclxms.gif
On more serious note, since if they plan to base this on EWM as the base index,
it might be better to stay on the long side. tongue.gif

As for Indonesia.. yeah, their market has risen over 100% in the past year. Their bubble is getting bigger but their market size is still way smaller compared to other more mature market. Could be pretty volatile too even without the 3x factor in there. It could be interesting to see how it works out later.

you got any?

First Solar Inc. (FSLR US) gained 8.8 percent to $139.40. The world’s largest manufacturer of thin-film solar power modules raised its full-year profit forecast to as much as $7.30 a share, topping the average analyst estimate of $6.12. The company was upgraded to “buy” at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank and to “outperform” at Robert W. Baird & Co.

Nice bump for FSLR.. rclxms.gif

Looks like other Solar related stocks (TSL and STP) are riding on this as well.
