better ask dell on the limitations of how much of the laptop u can mod urself , if not warranty void later  i heard AW has different procedurs

im very sure u cant touch the gpu and proc , but others im not sure , by all means try ur luck    i also wanna know d outcome , wanna change my proc also 

oh is possible to just call them to upgrade 1 ar?? for example the graphic card if they come out with new gen, can just top up and they upgrade for u ? haha i only have 1 year warranty btw.. haha regretted should have get more..! need to call them up see can extend or not

that because you upgrade the core i7 840 suppose me also want that spec. but waiting to upgrade after one to two year go for core i7 extreme 960     

i heard people saying dell will replace faulty part with refurbished parts hat have, if the laptop were to be sent back for warranty, was it true? refurbished part sounded horrible... can someone pls explain more about this to me, i think "the part was fixed from the faulty defected condition sent back by other user or retailer? what if my newly bought alienware malfunction for some reason someday, and there is no other choice than replace a new unit, they sent me a refurbished one? it sounds unfair to customer, if the part they compensate to us was defected components previously...

i called them already, they said, yes! is refurbished part.... they said like they also not sure about the details of replacement part... just they were told, they refurbished word means the parts were taken from the cancelled order, or some retailers sent back the part to them, then the hardware was reexamine , if there was no problem, it go straight to be the replacement part

you are right bro, My M15x also using OCZ Vertex turbo 120GB.....
but the performance is a big different.....

hopefully not refurbish set, cause so happy can get alienware with discounted price but suddenly heard this news, damn sad man.....
hope can get it asap so can checked got any sign that refurbish before....

mine still work in progress and no ETA yet.

my ETA was Laptop + Mouse together, but the mouse was late. Guess the cats caught it during delivery. 

Obviously the performance will degrade. But if  you're using it to surf and other small task like word documents and watching movies, should be fine. I don't think gaming with batteries is advisable tho. 

I'd been using my Alien for more than a month already my friend. Even posted unboxing video and pictures alike. Swtz, check out on V1. I bought it long before the PC Fair. I believe Julchin is waiting for his unit.
