QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Jan 13 2010, 05:58 PM) Im running modern warfare 2 all on HIGH with 4xAA and the rest on extra, even on a GTX 260M its smooth. Your SLI's are OVERKILL hahaha.... Anyway, the highest I got for gaming temp is 90celcius and Im running on a cooler pad now to help ease the temp down a notch! well can your GTX260M handle 16xAA? my eye nearly orgasm gaming with that setting!

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Jan 14 2010, 01:33 AM) Hey.. don't have to show off kay? I know lar u got SLI... By the way, I couldn't change it to a higher than 4XAA. Hmm... that was the best. But then 16XAA Would be too much for a inferior to GTX 280M Card like the GTX 260M. But at the speeds the game has been going on, I didn't have time to pause and see the details except for the beginning.... Shit, I only just finished the Rio level and it was crazy fast and frantic.... i just pulling your leg, my friend yes, to experience higher level of gaming, you need to tweak the setting by yourself using Nvidia Control Panel or just download program called nHencer. just like CCrysis, but expendable for many games. i don't use that though, too complicated for me

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Jan 14 2010, 12:13 PM) haha...i know.... btw, reading from notebook review forum, some users OC their GTX 260M. Possible to tweak it to almost get the same performance as a GTX 280M or is that too far to reach in terms of performance? nah. the gap between GTX260M and GTX280M is not very far. OC can make GTX20M perform in par with GTX280M. thats why some of people never bother owning GTX280M SLi but choose GTX260M SLi instead. but for me, once i spending huge amount of money for something like this, why not getting the best?

QUOTE(teikwing @ Jan 19 2010, 02:24 PM) if that's the case, that will be my first Alienware then! i believe since its less than $1000 in the States it should be probably RM4K here. btw regarding the launch date, a reputable source from another forum did mentioned that the tentative date will be Feb 5th. do hope it's a simultaneous worldwide launch (not just for the States) and immediate shipping. hope so too! there gonna be a lot of AW owner once this lil' monster released

QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Jan 20 2010, 01:26 AM) I wonder why on Modern Warfare 2 my Anti-Aliasing option stops at 4x? I can't select a higher AA...??? you should be able to choose until 8x AA if using default setting interference (in the game). to exceed the normal setting, or other word - tweaking the setting, you can use Nvidia Contol Panel as a basic step. try to click on my screenshot setting of CODMW2 from my siggy

QUOTE(taufiqtahir @ Mar 17 2010, 12:14 PM) so u think i shld get the M17x? are the specs that good? i mean, comparing to the M15x,what do u think abt the screen hd display?and the processors? n the rm6999 M17x is with the lowest specs for it..but if i go for M15x i could still upgrade a little.. arrrghhh!!how how how!!! basic specs will feed your need sufficiently, and plus you can always upgrade your CPU in future. the basic specs of M17x is good indeed, its already less almost 2k from its original price actually. the display is superb 1920x1200; the processor is kinda weak for gaming laptop but nobody cares since gaming utilized GPU>CPU. (unless certain games of course) and for M15x, you can't upgrade much if you 7k is the max of your budget. if you can reach 920XM, then i recon you to go for M15x

QUOTE(taufiqtahir @ Mar 17 2010, 12:24 PM) i think i wont spend more than 7k.. i dont have the "resources" for more than that.. hahahaha.. so i shld go for the m17x instead of the m15x? yes you should but make sure you contact the Sales Assistance before purchasing the item. they will give you discount and maybe free stuff too! try to contact them using Live Chat on Dell's website.

honestly i already forgot what is the different of LED and LCD. you can just google for the comparison between them. and about the screen resolution, bigger mean image will be more neat and vise versa. but remember, bigger resolution mean it will strain GPU more
