got my unit servied dy. near Heating pads, New Motherboard and New GPU. Yes, a brand new GTX 260M. So far its fine of course..... but we'll see... *fingers crossed*... Will upload pics later. My old GPU has some oil on it which the engineer feels is weird thus proceeded with the gpu change....

hi, anyone encounter hissing sound when plug in headset?
sometime when you move the headphone jack it might gone for a while, but will come back later on.
although the hissing sound is soft, but you still can notice it.

how about M15x user? any hissing sound problem?
and one more question, izzit normal for the hdd area to get hot?
coz i remember last time i put the Aw on my lap but didn't feel any heat,and the heat is only at the back; but recently the hdd area damn hot and my lap cannot tahan liao....

Hissing sound, try other headset. I only get it with the Tactx Headset. I tried other headset, I don't get the hissing sound. If every headset you tried also got hissing sound, could be your earphone jack area is 'loose' or err.. rusty? or could be the soundcard, no? How long you used the laptop? I'd been using for around 2 months now. Still very cool.  |

I Have heard humming before. But when the fans kick in at Max RPM.
At the moment am testing out the Alien to see the differences. I took pics of the alleged oily surfaces which could be heating pad excretions and liquids. Will post in the day later....
