cHEER UP bro. IT Seems their delivery dates cannot be trusted so Im guessing we'll all receive same time.

By the way, talking about backpacks, I can't imagine travelling with the M15x with my camera and lenses. It'll weight more than 10kg on my back..... sweat.gif

Got my sms today that my Unit will arrive tomorrow. I've already received my mouse, So I guess my M15x will be delivered. The SMS Hasn't failed me, so I'm gonna put some hope into it even though my status online hasn't changed and is still at the 'Ship from Factory' stage and the ETA still 23rd Dec.... tongue.gif

tell me if you have any problems connecting via wireless card.

I did feel the textured mousepad was a bit jerky laggy when I tested it at pc-fair.
There is a problem connecting via wireless card?

So you got yours eh? Congrats then! I wonder how you can get yours so fast when other who bought at the fair getting it later.
As for me, I called the Logistics company up and they confirm Skynet sending to me today. So I hope by Midday I'll be taking unboxing pics of the M15x to share here. (Providing I have time to take photos seeing how busy I'll be today tongue.gif)

ya i got it today , and feel like buying a razer mouse then i straight went to lowyat without any hesitation after i have finished class,lolz.... I also dunno why my notebook will come so earlier, but urs also very fast what ..
*
Well, not as fast as you, but 1 day diff is nothing much really. I just wonder how come some get much faster than other even though purchased on the same event weekend such as pc-fair. Could payment method be a factor I wonder? hmm.gif

By the way, which mouse did you get?
I'd go for the Mamba, but people are talking of Imperator which I haven't heard off. Gonna search on it... sweat.gif
Then again, I already have my Alienware TactX so gonna stick with that.... (Still in the air tight plastic)....

Yeah,
I'm gonna use the TACTX First and see how it goes. I don't normally use wired mouse cos I have the cable clutter at my table.

By the way, My M15x has arrived. And the outter box is in good condition so kudos to the delivery man for being gentle on it smile.gif

Will post pics later.

First problem encountered.

My M15x won't ON when on Battery only. I noticed it when I took out the adapter while the lappie was ON to re-arrange the wires and it went blank.
Have tried a couple of times and I see that there is nothing wrong with the connectors, nor was there any plastic sheet that shielded the connectors from touching.

I hope its a battery problem and not the system. System works fine with AC-Adapter. Gonna have to call DELL Tomorrow.

I thought I was under the complete cover Dell Premium plan. They don't have tech assistants at this hour to talk to?

Nope...
Battery doens't seem to work.
When its plugged in, system detects battery and lists it as 100%.
But when I took out charger just now, systems OFF-ed.
Now just running on ac-power. M15x detects that now there is -NO BATTERY-
So Im guessing its a battery problem? I hope so.... :/

No way to call them now? Like a 24hr service?

julchin, u should call them up as soon as possible, this sort of problem is not a minor problem, ur aw is in new condition, how come the battery does not work at all??? my AW has a problem when i have just received it yesterday, when i plugged the adapter in to charge the battery, the battery status there show "is not charging", until i found there were a few people on the other forum encounter the same problem and they suggest me to install new bios which is available on dell website. Then it comes to a step where i was prompted with an input "either yes or no" to run the ec flash, both 'Y' and 'N' letter does not work and they triggered "bad command" error, finally i solved this problem by typing "DFLASH EC_W670.096" and it solved, swt.... thanks to my ex notworthy.gif , i used it to find the solution in handling this error... Dell seems provide good service but worse quality, haiz... started to feel doubt how long it could remain healthy....julchin maybe u can try to update ur bios... i wonder 3 years complete cover provides service 24 hours?
*
I won't test the 24hr thingy. I'll just give them a call tomorrow.
As for the BIOS Thingy, I have to download the 5mb file and burn it onto a disc and boot with it?
I don't have a cdr at the moment and I already have the Bios.iso file so I'll update tomorrow.
I'll prolly ask for a new BATTERY and see their response. Also to enquire about my 3years DELL CARE PREMIUM Plan which states 24/7 phone support.... shakehead.gif

Thanks for the step by step guide bro notworthy.gif

Was playing RE5 just now, and the graphics were awesome. Just what I expected thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif
And with >70fps, it was crystal smooth. Can't wait to try other titles like Arkham Asylum, COD Mod War II..... sweat.gif
gOOD Night guys!

called the guys at DELL.
Turns out nothing wrong with my batt.
According to Dell Tech, I had to take out AC and battery and press power button for 15secs.
This was to discharge the system or something.
Then inserted battery again and power ON and IT WORKS.
Apparently this happens with new systems but not all the time.
So my system working fine now smile.gif

And DELL Does have a 24hr call service.
DELL CARE Premium = 1800 88 5784

Just received my m15x yesterday but found out that my keyboard just won't work with any game! What is wrong with it!  sad.gif

Aiyo....
Cannot work as in zero response?
Maybe the connector inside wasn't plug to the comp.
Best to call DELL to rectify it....
I hope ur problem is like mine whereby its just a minor error which can be rectified over the phone.... hmm.gif

The keyboard is working pretty fine outside of gaming. So i don't think is the connector issue. During gaming, only the arrow keys is responding, others not at all. Anybody experience this b4? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

Maybe its dependant on game itself?
what game issit and is it playable with standard keyboard?

Battery Problem still pending....
I will update BIOS and see if that solves the batt issue.
Earliest DELL Tech can come personally to check and give me a new batt is on Monday cos Tomorrow is a public Holiday....
So am keeping fingers crossed that BIOS version A02 will do wonders...
Am currently happy playing my games using only the AC-Adaptor though.... smile.gif

Ok Guys Chill! We're a growing community, lets just be helpfull and joke around a bit here and there.
In my opinion, Red and Black are the 2 best colours for the Alienware. Red for the contrast, and black for the stealthy mysterious look. Silver stands out as well and those who want to be different will choose this for sure cos Silver/black goes well. But it wasn't a colour for me as I wanted something different. So I went RED. Maybe in the future, there will have a Carbon Fibre looking colour, but then we'll know its just a sticker.
