u guys use addons for gs??? i check wowheroes for my gs. its rather accurate tho

You know, im wondering if someone can make a pugchecker addon, it would be far better than gearscore.

GearScore is a shitty addon..
But somehow before patch 3.3..i love insulting and teasing peeps...especially other shamans..

my GS was like 4800++..but i manage to down TOGC 10 regularly with madskill archiv..
bump into the peeps 5300 GS WTF..TOGC 10 - not yet done...muahaha...

I reckon its always Skill > Gear

i rather stick with http://wow-heroes.com/ its much more accurate

dps class supposed to dps, not heals!!! dps dudes that taunt adds/ mobs off priest are idiots!!! that would made dps lose rotations and result lost in performance!!! taunts are for tanks!!!

if dps dies due to aoe, blame priest if dps gs is higher!!!
if dps dies due to aggro, blame tank if dps gs is higher!!!
if wipe occurs blame those who has lower gs!!!

if dps dies under any circumstances but gs is not high, lol gg n00b L2P IRL get better gears!!!

Actually the funny thing is...

NO ONE ever said gear > skill. Not even the GS users. But all the GS haters kept saying skill > gear and concluded that GS is crap.

GS is never meant to measure skill. If you use a screwdriver to hammer a nail, of course the screwdriver is crap. You're comparing the wrong tool to what you have in mind!

Of course la if someone use GS to measure skill, then I nothing to say lor. Blame the user, not the mod. A screwdriver might be useless to you, but it's an invaluable tool to others. Don't hate it!

recently when i was on my ret farming icc rep, some1 asked me to stop taunting the web...
kinda weird since the web doesn't hit me even if i taunt and taunting as a pally deals an instant long range burst of 5k...

thing is, the whole GS crap is preventing players with skill from getting into raids...
i 5/5 togc10 using mostly T8 gears (tonnes of iLvLs 219 that time) and now they are asking for 5k GS when it is possible to do it with lower gears...
a friend of mine is pulling higher dps on his 1 week old hunter using 232weapon vs a hunter using 264 weapon decked out in T9.25 and 264 gears...

here is another thing why you cannot judge gear score

last night i join a PUG for VOA and yes again min GS needs to be 4.5k and above

down the 1st boss easily so when the raid leader was sorting out the loot the rest resume clearing mobs till the next boss

to the next boss then suddenly the raid leader become a NINJA giving the loot to this guild member ignore those who won the roll

those who won the roll but didn't get the loot left the raid and go aggro boss

boss raped the entire raid team....


again GS stinks

gs has nothing to do with this

or even try turning on GS when u are in such guilds (gkick incoming)...

1) since when GS holds such voodoo nonsense?

2) some top guilds does in fact use GS as a benchmark on recruitments raid invites. no one is asking you to be an idiot to follow GS completely, such as inviting people with high GS but having inappropriate gear such as incompatible stats, pvp gear, or unenchanted/socketed gears.

and p/s: i dont even have GS installed nor do i ever use GS. I only know of my GS through other people inspecting me
