That's cheap, paint material itself, I believe already 300-400 minimum. Can introduce? Send me a pm.

Sori, labour only. Paint is normally excluded because it depends on owner preference

Those few common brands like Nippon, Dulux, ICI and Jotun are ok.

Cleaning of stained walls depend on what causes it .... for eg, a permanent marker ink will not be completely removed and after few days, is more difficult to remove the stained.

Weatherbond-type exterior series; whichever brand you choose surface need to be prepped and primed properly (waterproofing acrylic would be good idea) as well.

How much liter of paint required for a landed terrace which is about 1600-2000 sqft built up? I am estimating 100 liter white paint to paint whole house cause the original paint was a different color which I don't really like but not sure if it's sufficient. Also any recommendation for paint? Nippon seems expensive..

ICI and Maxilite also made by same factory wan.
I dont use their stuff for personal reason.

Theres KCC also. Thicker feel, need to dilute 3% water.
Matex ready to use no need dilute.

I personally use Matex when possible..KCC also OK. This 18L economy paint is ard that price wan..u can shop around la but i think 5 bucks diff only .. not worth the petrol.

Pearl glo (ici)? Nippon easywash equiv. Colour paint still expensive at 95 per 5L. 18L pack cheaper. These need to shop around. U can get a feel for prices on peepee or lapsapda

Hello guys, appreciate if you could provide your two cents.

I am considering to use Nippon EasyWash series for painting my whole unit of 1,313 SQFT. Painting area including wall, ceiling and plaster ceiling. Below attachment is the layout of my unit.

1. What is the estimation of paint I need to buy in terms of liter if only to focus on 1 color and assuming to do 2-coats application? I have tried the Nippon's paint calculator and got result of 50L. It seems like too less.

2. What is the purpose of sealer/ primer? It use before/ after the paint? Is it a must to use a sealer/ primer? If yes, how many liter should I purchase? This is because Nippon website suggest to have 1 coat of sealer/ primer together with 2 coats of painting.

3. I was quoted for RM 4,500 to paint the whole unit and the supplier doesn't mention the specifications so I post this to ask about the market rate, would it be cheaper if I DIY myself in this case?

That depends on whether they give C-grade paint (ok la cheapo paint but still paint) or F-grade (chalk powder fake paint) stuff.. the test is wet a cloth and rub it over the surface. If the cloth turns all white that is a real problem. If not, then its good news, just paint over lah.

Mop all over or wipe off with damp cloth. Some hardware store also carry big sponge for plastering (about A3 or A4 size sponge) as an alternative. Whichever method, impt is to Remove the chalky stuff as best as you can. This is the prep work 80% I was talking about.

Apply sealer like nippon 5100 or 5400 whichever big tong is cheapest, 1 coat. This is required coz the chalky stuff will not allow ur good paint to stick well to it
2 coats finish paint after that.
Confirm cantik. This is the 20% painting the easy part. If don't dilute, paint doesnt drip everywhere.
