mmm you know the long stick thingy that those workers at the petrol station sometimes use to help clean the car windshield...

one side is sponge, the other is some hard plastic...
becuz i know its hard to reach the back,,...using that thing, you just take off the plastic background and then paste it back slowly using the window wiping thingy

can be a bit difficult but at least will be less bubbles around loe

Wah....this morning my aro appetite really increased oledy...
not sure if its cuz of the ocean free pure liquid or cuz its really hungry lol...or cuz of the newly fresh opened tetra arowana pellets

I put in the freshly opened tetra pellets and after a few minutes it went to go chew chew chew like 4-5 pellets!! not sure if it was really eating it or not but it seemed to be chewing it and actively looking for it.
Its like chewing and shredding it so thats y not sure lol but at least its putting it in its mouth =.="

maybe it smells like shrimp thats y lol

As for hikari and azoo i will mix it around....last 2 week's i've been giving hikari and azoo ma...
today morning i've started giving it tetra...

slowly it will eat all 3

dunno ler...price is not too big an issue for me, i'm more concerned that my aro eat then can oledy

mine not till the whole room got smell la lol...but as compared to the 3 i have (now 4 thx to pigpig) the tetra arowana smells more like shrimp than the others....azoo smells like some bbq brown sause sausage...

hikari i have no idea...smells like something totally outta the world..

arowana tetra smells like shrimp like...

so i guess my aro preffer's shrimp smell/taste guah...

i think i've almost gotten it successfully to accept pellets liao....its now eating 4-5 pellets this morning and another just now when i fed it,


next process is to let it get used to the tetra arowana pellets first then slowly introduce back the hikari sticks and the azoo sticks....

as for the powerhead which also acts as a uv filter is a good value for money.....

actually nowadays a bit hard to get powerhead...just as a powerhead...

the cost of a powerhead is the same as a powerhead with uv filter function =.="

i have a powerhead just the same as yours (adds night light when all lights are out!! goodstuff haha) just no uv filter function only...

so yeah no worries, you try using it first and if the uv cleans the cloudy water / algae out is good...but if it doesnt then i recommend turning it off cuz it can heat up the water a bit...

for me i turn off mine cuz i dun feel any need of uv filter...

by the way young aro is hard to tell quality is good or not wan,

cant really say xlsa is the best or where is the best....only way to tell which is the best is to wait and see when it gets older and of course your tlc plays a big big BIG part of it...

Guys, i've finally achieved pellets training completion...

yesterday and today its been eating tetra aro pellets without too much issues....the kerai fish helped play a part, making it more aggressive with taking in the pellets....

2.5 weeks of starving

i will take a vid and show some time

depends on what is causing the cloudy water ...some kinda contamination...

i'd recommend the same one i'm using - ocean free pure liquid lol


aro breath heavily hard to tell you le.....if its opening and closing its mouth like its trying to gulp down as much water as it can then its probly breathing heavily...you need to go to lfs to take a look at many fish to get the idea of breathing normally and breathing heavily...

When was the last wc and about what % did you change?
got add salt?

I know its a bit far with the hp camera, but i tried yesterday with the camera up close it will get intimidated and not eat :S

lol any live insects and feeder fish will make it go crazy aggressive and active. Just try to get small food cuz if too big then they small aro can have digestion issue :S
