US routing is superb but routing to Eastern European sucks big time. I am guessing thats the price that we pay for having 218.111.x.x . The route for other IPs on the other hand seems to be way better. Could someone do couple of trace routes to some euroepan sites. If you are not sure of any , try tracerouting to the official EU website tongue.gif

3.6Mbps is okay , again I am not sure why most of you are very impatient - Please do wait for at least 2-3 weeks. Some folks have just registered and then want to have 218.111 and stuff. Just wait

QUOTE(milky @ Mar 29 2010, 12:23 PM)
for guys with 4mbps line
got few questions on this
1) if i need to change from 1mbps to 4mbps need any equipment to use
4mbps line or just the old modem connecting 1mbps will do ?
2) does the technician need to come over to my place? (shamelin)
3) can i apply 4mbps to replace 1mbps @ my office? now my office already using 1mbps
4) what requirement needed to use the 4mbps?

thanks
*
1) You dont need to change. Your current modem will work
2) Its a must and yes you'll have to pay the installation charges
3) It depends ..I dont think they offer 4Mbps ADSL for companies. The other alternative is to apply for SDSL
4) Pretty much your area must be covered and umm an ADSL Modem - thats all

QUOTE(ezinger @ Mar 29 2010, 12:37 PM)
guys, can you please help me ping a few servers from singapore and australia? and i appreciate some feedback from bandar utama customers

australia -
123.100.229.86
210.50.4.38
119.15.96.156

singapore -
eclub.bloom.org

these are gaming servers i regularly play on for online competitions. so it is crucial to me to get good latencies before i switch to 4mbps. i'm currently using Jaring.

eclub does not work as they have disabled it. So I can't ping that for you. If its a TF2 (Team Fortress 2) server and if its on steam. I can connect to it and play a round or two and post it to you the real latency !

Hi all,
Just succesfully upgraded to 4mb package last monday.
( it takes arround 10 days. included 2 times upgrade fail, 2 times technician break promise  )

So far i only get 110 , 115 and 175 ip's.
Keep on reconnecting around 30times on morning , afternoon , evening ,
but never get 218.111 ip so far.

Is there something wrong about my account?

call 100 a few times but they say because you are the dynamic ip and not fixed ip blablabla...

Anyone have the same problem ?
If have any solutions about it . please give some hint to me.
Really thanks.

(By the way the reason that i need to get the 218.111 ip is because im using my line connecting
100% to japan server (skype , meeting , games ...etc) and the 110 115 175 ip's is bad for me.
(high ping , non-stable ping , frequent time out etc...)
I understand that 218.111 ip is not perfect for everyone but i'll like to give a try.)

Thank you for reading my post and sorry about my bad english.

You could have scrolled few pages back or searched within this thread

It has been said wait for at least a month to get 218.111 IP

Great 4Mbps used to be great , but now ever since tm is offering cheap 4mbps for college students , its starting to be another failure.

*
Did you even bother reading few pages back. It has been answered there. All you've to do is just wait , at least for a month. I doubt they give away 218.x.x.x ip easily these days as there are lot of folks who are jumping into the 4Mbps train

TMnet Is Really Idiot Company.

WTF 80% Speed ?

If Like That, Can We Pay 80% Of Monthly?

4Mb Then Give 4Mb Speed La. .
*
clearly you dont understand how data transfers

Thats like saying I bought 1TB hard disk , why when I format I am only getting 955GB or even less. Same concept applies (well not same , but similar)

This applies to just about any ISP in this world , its just that some ISPs use clever tricks such as raising the cap or capping at a higher speed so that the user gets the full speed.

Anyone here on 218 range getting high pings to Singapore servers?

100+ pings to Fragnetics bfbc2 and cod4 servers. 250ms in-game for bc2.
*
Facing issues with 250ms and sometimes up to 400ms on fragnetics on 218.111 ip. It can really shoot up

Great now 4Mbps used to be a premium and now its turning up to be another normal service.

You cant' do anything about that

4Mbps users uses a different DSLAM. Its not the same as the regular ones , I dont quite know the reason why

How on earth SKMM can help you with that. They might forward and TM might just say uh once we have enough users we'll help you. Its a different thing if your 4Mbps sucks.

Yes.. base on the line info u can upgrade to 4mb.

@Prasys
Really ? no more 218 ??
anyone can confirm this ?
*
I can only get 118.101/118.100 and 124.13 , nope I don't get 218.111 any longer. I am not sure why , it could be because I've upgraded to UniPack , that could be one of the reasons as well. Nevertheless , I'll wait for them to settle my application before asking them why on earth am I getting strange IPs

I was on 218.111 for nearly about a month , till I turned off the modem about few hours ago and realised that my 218.111 ip range is gone. I am not sure about you guys , assuming you've not disconnected.

im using 4mbps too.. but the speed i gt only 2.8mbps normally..

Upstream Speed  512 kbps  (Fast)
Downstream Speed  2880 kbps  (Fast)
Upstream SNR 4.0dB
Downstream SNR  7.1dB

my ip is 218. 111. but how come still so slow?? i go speedtest.net test the speed average is 1.7mbps only. huh... streamyx really tak boleh la..
*
Your Downstream SNR is out , really poor. It cant take 4Mbps , hence it tries to sync with a lower speed which it can work with , which is 2880Kbps. You may have to call TM !

what downstream SNR should b if i use 4mbps? coz b4 he fix tat time can run until 3.7mbps. but day by day it become slower.. huh..
i should find TM ask for change another package?
*
I am not sure but it shouldn't be 7 , thats for sure , around 15 should be normal. Basically its your line. Tried direct connection aka without a splitter. You should try that first
