I don't think so this is 4 Mbps thread anymore

Theoretically, maximum download speed you can get:
4Mbps = 4096Kbps
4096Kbps = 512KBps

Minimum download  speed you should get (on LOCAL TMnet server, not speedtest.net or ANY OTHER SERVER) is 80% (or it is 70% or 90% I donnu) is around:

80% of 4Mbps (4096Kbps/512KBps) = 3.3Mbps (3278Kbps/409.6KBps)

*70% or 90% you do the math

Not sure about the upload speed though.

today i make complain about my speed and the tm said .... if u get 80% of the speed it is very good liao~..... i wonder in skmm there which section can prove that guarantee us 90%?

I just upgraded to 4MB and this is what I'm getting. However if I get 118.xxx IP, I have lots of "Request Timed Out" pinging www.flying spaghetti monster.com, etc - no ideas why If I get IP 124.xxx then it's fine but 118.xxx seems to be faster. Looks like I can't have the best of both?

I tulan liao with the current slow speed. Call to Streamyx today. Told them to rebate me for 2 weeks of outage.

I suggest u guys do the same. Problems ain't gonna be fixed. At least get back some of your money.

if i not mistaken you need to go tm point to fill up some form in order to get rm140 for existing users, unless you are new applicants after they reduced the price.

i'm so sorry i'm not that sure for this because my bill havent reached yet. in my opinion it's advisable to show them your bill with proofs that the price of 4mb had reduced.

mine already get 218 ip after complaint to cfm about youtube slow last week..now youtube and other streaming video very super fast.
yesterday just change my package from super upgrade deal to BB deal at tmpoint but cannot get the dect phone coz migrate from same speed just can get the free wifi modem..huhuhu sad.
also i make a complaint to cfm about to cap speed to 5mb but tm call me and said snr margin to low ngam2 15 so that they cannot proceed to change cap to 5mb.i check back my modem snr it look good 24.connection from where they said 15 snr?

i just wrote like this la 'i cannot get full speed 4mb so that i want request higher cap adsl speed for download and upload'

Can some expert help me out, I check my router setting, below:
Mode:ADSL2+

SNR Margin      13.2                      25.3
Attenuation        49.5                    25.5
Rate (kbps)      4096                    511

According to statistic, my line is bad for 4mbps right? I face slow internet sometime but didn't face dc problem much (around 1-2times per day). Shall I complain or just keep silence?

Weird. I applied on Thursday evening, Friday morning they came to test and change to BB deal 4mbps.
Saturday still 1mbps, then Sunday morning up to 4.15mbps already Actually it depends on 2 things:-

1) The reliable of TM POINT branch, kota damansara branch is doing fast and great submission.
2) If your area covered until 1mbps only. Upgrade for what? Luckily here until 6mbps also can so 4mbps is not a problem.

After add all of them, my average still would be around 3.7Mbps. I'm cool, at least higher than 3.5Mbps

Cheras area Len Seng/Bkt Anggerik/Sri Bahagia, TM  said no 4MBs !
Asked them why ? Told them our place not ulu-ulu place, KL-S'gor border... yet they said too farlah from depot,etc, all grandma stories!
The worse part was previously not the BB deal can get 1.2 to 1.3 all the time, now the wifi BB deal only around 0.8 to 0.9 !!!
Their usual reply.....KITA AKAN CHECK !!  At the rate they r going,
better ask them to tar-pau !!!

I'm staying in Alam Damai, Cheras and just registered BB deal 4mbps few days ago. Now my speed is even slower than my old RM88 1mbps package.
Below are my speed according to different time line:

7am-->    >3mbps
9am-->    >1mbps
>12pm--> <1mbps
>7pm-->  <512kbps (OMGWTFBBQ? O_o)
>1pm  --> >1mbps

Conclusion--> Tm.Nuts is making me NUTS~!

Called the technician and he say the same thing like others do, "Sedang check, semua 4mbps system slow sangat sekarang." But from the previous post I read here, I don't think ALL 4mbps system slow.

Is any Alam Damai Cheras 4mbps user facing same problem now? Or am I the only 1?
