chuppy~ how long i need to cycle the water with amazonia 2 before i drop cherries into it ? ATLEAST ?

Usually, safe time is 2 weeks...

But to be honest, I tried adding crs and rcs on the 8th day after start up... (with A2) Nothing happened... But there were other contributing factors to this, ( constant room temperature, wc method i used for the 1st week, Old tank water, Old mature filter media? )

So for you to be safe, 2 weeks.

With A1 on the other hand, personally, I'd wait 1 month haha..

erm.. now im thinking to put 30% of old water.. ( my current 1ft tank's water )... is that okay for new A2 ? or any side effect ?


and another questions.. do u absorb away the fishes' excretion ? which on the ADA soil 1 while doing WC..

Well, I don't pay extra attention to that, if you worry of an ammonia rise, your filter should be mature enough to handle it.

1) pH level
2) amonia or so level (i'm bad in this, still can't get what their name are)

my A1, i think running more than 1 month, by checking all the parameter before hand

as i mentioned, test those parameter first...
well, u can do another way around, get low grade crs as white mouse (aka test water speciment)

nutrient mean amonnia (NO2, NO3, NOx bla bla bla content... as i said, i'm bad in naming them)

lol forgot to update tank status in my last post.... So happy my red tail tuxedo guppy's mate gave birth! I leave them in my tank cos got many plants they r safe.... so far saw 2 fries... 2day I go frens hse so cant check on them... this fri my bday hoping to get a larger tank for planted tank... This time I wanna do seriously lol...

@fongzai- lol I didnt cycle my amazonia1... I just rinse out the dirty stuff like small twigs then just take all water and fauna out, replace gravel with soil, then put water n fauna back in... Nothing bad later on...

walau if want put sand must put deep layer.... one part of my substrate bocor oredy lol...

I dun wan so much tank is quite small.... DIY CO2 working fine and im getting ferts soon... man so sad cant go to pudu and 88marine p. indah anymore
