btw u use hot water, as in baru boiled water, it will break down the yeast.. as in render it useless! yeast has its optimum temperature for its reaction with the sugar to produce co2, when u go exceed the temperature, the yeast breaks down, if u go below the optimum temperature, no co2 reaction will happen!

i had a MASSIVE BBA attack on the first month i got my co2 tank! all i did was regulate a steady flow of co2 and a shorter photo period, kaotim! after second month BBA never grew back.Angel, have u use co2 diffusor for your DIY co2 ? thoes glass diffusor. if yes, it need certain air pressure to push it up, for DIY co2, it need sometime to push it. check the part where air tube connected got leakage or not. if got, forever cant see the co2 successful get into ur tank.

actually the sugar disolves only into sugar water, and its just in a liquid form.. when we say "dissolving the sugar" we are referring that we want the sugar to slowly get dissolved by the yeast..one last thing... i dont think you need do that kind of step... mine easy and fast...

what we mean by "we want the sugar to dissolve slowly" is the sugar dissolves into co2! and also produce alcohol lah
sugar water = disolves faster
rock sugar = dissolves slower
