latest update:
i screwed up, din notice the middle button at the scroll there is for Profile switching, LOL no wonder i have to rechoose profile after each restart. now with the button press and the white led on, no more problem~
scrolling down glitch is yet to be found. so far so good.
overall impression is towards positive, mouse click is firm and addictive, feels like pressing another time each time after u push down that mouse click.
scrolling is smooth and steady + quiet operation(hope the scroll rubber wont get dirty and turn yellowish which is ugly).
currently using default profile no.5, pointing feels smooth and lot faster than my old Copperhead. much more accurate and precise in other words.
plastic surface is silky and feels soothing. nice feeling just by holding it and move it around. palm rest is perfect fit for my hand. finger just on nice grabbing position. Copperhead was V-shape at the palm area thus aching my palm after prolong usage.
well this mouse have lots of agility due to its light weight (lighter than Copperhead 20% agak agak). my unproffesional review of this mouse day 01 for now.
*
actually if u just press the middle button there for a split second, it changes between cpi1 and cpi2 in the hardware settings.
if u press it for at least 2 secs and release, then u can select which profile u wanna use by looking at the lcd below.

Dont always blame the hardware for the problems, sometimes your computers USB hub may be faulty, your drivers malfunctioning etc etc. I often see people here complaning about their mouse being non-responsive and all, when its actually their motherboard or computer's problem. I doubt the manufacturers would wanna simply give you a faulty mouse. In rare cases of a truly spoilt hardware, just RMA it.

my bad..din tried to double click it at the 1st place doh.gif
for the delay after startup might be cause by 7G usb port, after pluggin it into motherboard USB at the back, problem solved~ but its weird my copperhead works instantly with 7G usb port...

7g USB port is 1.1, so not enough power going thru it.
the xai also has a LCD so i would assume more power needed, rather than the copperhead which has none.

As long as you feel comfortable with the shape of the mouse the other issues shouldn't bother you at all so I'd suggest you to go try it out first and decide. Ikari Laser used to be SteelSeries trademark in 2007-2009 before they came up with Xai and Kinzu.
