No offence dude.. but i think if you game 12 hours in a row wearing any headset, your neck and eyes would definitely hurt  tongue.gif
*
Yeah, probably.. I make it a point not to game that long anymore, hahaha! laugh.gif Once is enuf, thank you!

But i stand by what i said: The 5H v2 may not be all that comfy, but the sound is very detailed. I think that's the only thing i liked about the 5H actually... Well, apart from the hide-away mic, of cos..

the 5hv2 worth buying?
cuz im thinking of buying alienware tactx headset which is exactly producing same sound quality and same design, everything 100% same with 5hv2 which comes at lower price.

so, i guess ppl who owns 5hv2 are quite satsified with the sound quality? any comments? worth buying?

As an all-round headset, no.

But as a dedicated gaming headset, by all means, it's one of the best.

It's ok la, good enuf provided u play around with the EQ, by quite a lot too.
But being a dedicated gaming headset, it didn't quite deliver when it comes to anything other than gaming.. sweat.gif

By "sound card", do u mean the one that came with the 5H or some other card?

Coz if it's the SS soundcard, no it's not normal; i haven't encountered any of the static noise, be it in XP, Vista or 7.

only on the mic connector?
u got try other headsets and see if got same problem?

btw, i just realised the siberia can bend the dual wire on top of it to reduce the pressure alot...and i mean alot tongue.gif
but it still doesnt change the fact its still hot.

also realised noise isolation on siberia isnt that great, even tho ppl say leather ones should isolate better.
cos my lamb of god music playing thru my makos are still coming thru nicely when i wear the siberia...even when i press the cups with both my hands as tight as possible...IEMs are still obviously the best.
perhaps those who say got good isolation listens to stuff like the jonas brothers...

I'm using the Alienware for CS:S. Though I didn't tested the 5Hv2, but the Alienware is good enough for me to pinpoint the footsteps of my opponent.

Well, to be brutally, BRUTALLY honest, NO. It's not a balanced headset, even if u tweak the EQ, the mids n trebles overpower the bass (which of course is to be expected); good for gaming but not good for music and movies.

And the one thing that really killed it for me is the "sound limiter" thingy.. Let's say u r playing techno song, and there's one part in the song where u know it's supposed to be explosive, like BOOM!!, with the 5H v2 usb the BOOM is suppressed. So u end up with a flat sound that kills the song. This is unnacceptable for me. shakehead.gif

For movies, the explosions will be there, but there's just not enough "ooomph", u know.. laugh.gif There's not much depth in the bass.

And taking out the usb sound card only seemed to make it worse. The bass is gone, even tweaking the EQ's low freq to the max also won't make an appreciable difference.

Gaming-wise, it's just fine... nod.gif
