ok, finally done with my business, been busy for 2 days straight

some thoughts about the HD800, first, the earcup is HUGE, like bro pcwork said, the 1st headphone you can see with your own eyes while you're wearing it

And it's pretty heavy, I cant help noticing it's weight while I'm wearing it

As for the sound, I'm not a fan of Sennheiser all the time, currently this is the only Sennheiser that is acceptable for me, the sound is neutral and slightly laid back, definitely not on the warm side. Pairing it with the Lavry DA11 gives a very very clean sound......to the point that it sounds sterile and lifeless

, all of us agreed that the DA11 internal amp is not a good choice for the HD800, something like a tube or warm SS should be a better pair. Using the DA11 as DAC and connecting it to sep90's Audiotrak inamp gives it a much warmer sound and some bass, which makes the HD800 much more pleasant to listen to.
The HD800 really is very sensitive to the equipment used to drive it, one advice for anyone who wish to get it, make sure your source and amp are up to par

Anyway in the gathering the headphone I like the most is akabane's vintage woody(ATH-W10VTG)

as he mentioned, hd800 is very neutral and camoulflage to every equipments used to exploit it's soundsignature
and if u spending bout Rm 6k to Rm 7k for this can...make sure yur equipments at least on same level with it
as all audiophiles would agree, rubbish in rubbish out......the hd800 will show u the flaws of yur total setup
