either one will do... too many lenses will end up in dry cabinet most of the time... for wedding, best with 24-70Z + 70200G/Beercan or 135Z combo...
*
yea..im planning 2470 + 135.. =D

other than the DoF..i think the bokeh is more pleasing than 70200G as well..

guys,

24-70F2.8 vs 85F1.4, which 1 do you think is a better buy?

p.s: i've already got a 16-80F3.5 though...
*
2470 is not that suitable for apsc..the range isnt very favorable..not wide..and yet no long..and given u already have 1680..85 1.4 is more suitable for u...

i think it'd probably saves u alot shutter counts n time if u have some sort like a infrared sensor..sometimes trail n error whole day without getting a desire shot could be frustrating.....i always get my floor flooded for nothing..lol

imo color management for photographer is as hard as the photography techniques..it takes more than just few days of studies to master it...

so if we did nothing to make sure its right...its pretty obvious we not gonna get what we expecting..

im just wondering..maybe most of the small-size-photo-printing-shops do not have the proper equipment to get their color right...if we screw up on ourside further..it would only make things worse..

A550 is that very good camera? Now i using a200 about 1 and half year. Should i upgrade my body or buy a wide angle lens 1st which should i go 1st
*
my answer would be same as hkhk...if u feel like u r doing well with ur current gear..and u need wide angle badly to fit ur shooting style..then whats the point to upgrade body..

but generally..i think if u dont need the lens that badly..i would say 550 is a good upgrade...but thats just me..

@Innovation
i think the cat is kinda cute! but its true that its distracting..partly because its too small in the photo..if its bigger..i guess the % of the flower n other stuff would bcome lesser..and it makes the photo better..

hehe..i've decided to get my 3rd prime lens...now getting my friend to ask for how much deposit i need..likely to get it by next week =D

No Problem ..

So .. back to my Q : -
Let say somebody interested with ur photo posted online e.g in flickrs acc. , to be use in some article or commercial use ..
How much we shd charge it ? Or any other ways tht we can also get benefit fr it .. Or Is it enough by getting our email / flickrs acc. linked ?
*
linked back to u only brings u more views..nothing else..i notice some bloggers did post my photos n link back my flickrs..on average i get 1.2k viewers per days..but traffic doesnt really help that much la..if can i prefer $..lol....but again..unless its really awesome..else i don think 1 stock photo would cost much..maybe u can check his usage too...i think probably 10usd or 12usd like that ba..and take note its for a limited time only..maybe say 6months?

aneway, thanks ieR for the tips =D

anyway, i'm trying to find a new lens and flash for my A200..

or do issit better to upgrade my camera for a better one?
*
lens keeps its value..especially good lenses..

not sure this is correct..but to me..lenses affect picture quality more than the body itself...so unless u already feel that u r limited by the body..or u have nothing else to upgrade..else i'd usually recommend on lenses/flash to upgrade first(especially when u don not have many lenses now..whats the point to have 2 bodies)

thx for the tips achew and jimlim007

i was thinkin to use my A200 to trade in for a better one such as A300/A350 *for beginner*..wouldnt mind getting a used one ^^

as for lenses/flash..any tips on which to get? i got limited budget..like around rm600-1000 i tink..i like to take portrait/scenery pictures happy.gif
*
no point to change to a200 to a3xx..u wont feel the impact..imo..at least a550 onwards...

for lenses wise..what lenses do u own??if u love portrait..i would advice u get a prime first...50mm F1.4/1.8...85mm F1.4..135 F1.8/2.8...depend on ur budget/needs..if u already have 1 of the prime..then try to get a flash like F58

i see ur photos, all sharp, wonder how u say it front focus out... hmm.gif  one question, we have nine focus area, can we choose 3 focus areas at once?
*
when its out..its probably a few cm out only..so the face stil pretty much in focus..just slightly soft...and dont forget..i edit all my single shots to make it better(hopefully)...so unless i wanna make it soft purposely..else most of them were sharpen accordingly..those really OOF terribly one..well..dont think i gonna waste my time on it...and i wont want to waste my viewers time too =p

haha true, but most time ppl can afforable these model of body, they purchase f42 n above  laugh.gif
*
true..BUT we would use F20 if we need something small n compact for casual shooting...OR use it to trigger F42/F58s
