FYI, korean box Brave Max now fetch about USD400 (min) over E-Bay US. That does not include shipping. But condition is MIB/MISB. Go check it out yourself. But many collectors posted that the color is indeed a little bit different. If you don't mind, that ok la.

Rare and saw it at RM600 some time back. Super scalped price! But surprisingly, no/low demand for this piece. Go grab it if you are a completist of ROTF.

Bro, FYI, the Korean releases are actually old stock found in warehouses like the G1 Black car of Road Ceaser in 2007.

Doubtful there will be old stock of Brave Max. Even there is, those sellers aren't going to sell at old prices. Maybe around RM1k for MISB?

If Takara MISB, market price should be around USD1,800 provided you sell over E-Bay US. But very few takers at that price leh. Why? You have one piece to sell?

I think they don't need to sell Korean Brave Max cheap cheap. This one sure got plenty of buyers. If MISB, box condition C9 and sellling price is RM999.99, sure plenty of buyers lining to buy. First one is bro subang 880. Then me also.

Throughout the world there are rich people who buy such stuff. Some buy to collect, some buy to do "asset stripping". In any event, I have seen such things being sold although I am not the buyer. They can sell but slow. Eventually, it will move. MISB is in class of its own. If it is AFA graded, whoooo. The price is sure gonna go up by another 30 - 40%.

But bear in mind that MISB can also turn yellow. All plastics turn yellow over time due to chemical breakdown. Malaysian weather just hastens it only. Toys in Japan, Hong Kong, US, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand also turn yellow but at a slower pace due to the weather there. But all will still turn yellow over time. This is the inherent risk in buying toys more than 20 years old.

Alternity BB and CJ are 2 different characters. IMHO, both should fetch good prices over time. BB because of the movies and CJ because of the bling bling red.

You think the sellers dunno? Everybody throughout the world knows that the holy grail is Grand Max due to the Pretender shell but Fort Max is the more famous one due to the anime. So, if ever there is a Korean Brave Max found in substantial quantity, rest assured that they also know how to sell, when to sell and whom to sell. It is the cheapest Max to own of all 3 of them.

I think time value of money doesn't accelerate so fast leh. If RM200 in the 90s is equivalent to RM2,000 now (approx 20 yrs), you should be earning > RM100k 20 years from now. I don't think so.

The reason why prices go up is mainly because supply far far outstrips demand. If just based on inflation, RM200 should only be about RM500 now.

Again just my 2 sens worth.

Oh Boy, now Subang 880 go gaga over Pretender shells. By the way, just that shell alone costs USD350. Very very valuable stuff. Price quoted from E-Bay bids which ended about 2 months back from a Orang Puteh seller based in Japan.
