When u said "old phillips using dvi" u meant a phillips monitor? So u'r Samsung LCD TV with the PS3 actually looks worst that when u had u'r PS3 on u'r Phillips Monitor?

Samsung Technician is coming to my place at 6 today.. I'm gonna ask them to bring the R8 back and reset that damn thing.. its in such a sad state now.

Edit : Technician came..replaced the motherboard..total damage? RM 500

I tried Superman Returns this morning and he looked so dull..Duh. All the colors are so messed up. I guess i have no choice. Sigh...

Neordi : Once u mess with the factory menu, the warranty is void. Believe me when i say u can seriously mess up the colors in the service menu. U wanna learn how? I can show u.

^ Damage has already been done. Don't feel like going to the service menu any more. Now i just wanna watch my movies and play games. No more Samsungs for me in the future.

^ S-video will only carry a 480i signal and not 480p.

how much did u get u'r PV70 for? I saw the 50" Pioneer Kuro the other day showing Spiderman 3 and was absolutely floored by the colors and black levels. Its like watching a whole new movie..sorta made me a Plasma believer at that moment.

I'm gonna be done with my car loan soon so i can definitely afford a brand new TV.. and this time I'm looking at 42 incher and I want a Plasma!!! Screw 1080p..lol, since at 42", I doubt i can tell a difference anyway.

Try watching Spiderman Blu-ray on the Pioneer Kuro and u'll eat your own statement . yeah i know they're expensive but heck, they're in a totally different league. I always thought to myself..how much better can plasmas it be? When i finally saw it on the Kuro, i'm an instant believer in Plasmas or should i say, instant convert?

Bangsar Village has 52" Kuros. That's where i saw them. If i remember correctly, they'll set u back RM 16,999

Ouch! thanks for sorting it out. Hmm.. so the 42" seems like a better buy than the 52" Kuro. Then again, by the time i'm ready to buy a new TV, who knows the prices might have gone waaaayyy down.

I was surprised to see a 42 or was it 40" Sony W Series 1080p for RM 8999. They were playing Blu-ray Kung-Fu Hustle and it looked pretty good.

did u consider the Hitachi P42A01A before getting u'r Panasonic? The Hitachi is RM 200 cheaper and i personally like the "looks/design" better..

^ I dunno.. I can't seem to find any reviews on it. Can u share those that u found?

Wierd thing is that the panel has a 1024 * 1080 res..

I believe it can be had for less than 5K.
BTW, have u bought the Panasonic yet or u're still looking?
