hey, changing the tires to 205 will effect the car's FC?  just wanna know, planning to change to 205 as 185 is seriously not 'wide' enough for me =) ...

Theoretically with the additional weight ad friction, it should increase a small percentage of FC but it will be compensated with better road handling. Which tyres are you planning to upgrade?

Added on June 6, 2010, 11:43 amJust came back from tyre shop and realized that 205/55R16 & 195/55R16 will be overkill. Decent and reasonable fitting will be 195/50R16 on stock 16" wheels. Comment please.

Well, i personally prefer comfort and quiet ride. is there any tyre suit this and the size is 185/60/16? The thicker the more comfort ride is it? Sorry. Dun hv much info abt tyre. Any pros care to share?

Yes bro, I would suggest you to go for 195/50/16 to replace our original 185/55/16. 195mm width will give you better traction/bite on the road. 50 series tyre will give you better cornering feel as compared to 55 series (You will feel less floaty with a 50 series tyre) nod.gif

I tried taking a corner with the original 55 series tyre & it really gives a terrible floaty feeling. sad.gif

Btw, what brand of tyres do they have for that size (195/50/16)?.

I would go for Yoko Advan... How much does it cost? As for Continental, i think they are now made in Malaysia by Sime tyres.

I havent got that price yet. Hopefully it is less than RM300 per piece. Other option will be Yoko A Drive R1.

Added on June 6, 2010, 6:10 pmYoko C Drive is getting pretty good review too.

some cars changing 185 to 205 with no effect to FC.. or only a little bit increasing. not too much.

i hardly see "bigger" font for car plate one..... instead i see those ppl use crystal look of the car plate and smaller font size which is very difficult to see and it is not jpj friendly for sure..... wink.gif wink.gif

2 days ago went to Roban from kuching pumped full tank ron97. The trip was 310km and still got more than half tank fuel (4 1/2 slot used). Avg 20 km/litre showed in the indicator (self calculate should be 19km/l). Then went to saratok and sarikei. On the way back to home town, 540km was driven and it still got 2 slot remain. Then pumped 31 litre ron 95. Back to kuching 3 1/2 slot used. Total km driven 780km within this 2 days.

Cruising speed 80-110km/h along the way. 60km max in town.

Road condition: worse than highway as is not highway but like town road with single lane. Got blocked byt buses and lorries.. need guts to potong.. they r long vehicles...

Heavy footer? I don't think so.
I have only rev max until 3k rpm oni.
Most of the time when I accelerate from complete stop, the avg consumption fuel meter is about 3 bar to 4 bar, during 1st 2nd gear, 3 gear onwards it will move to 8 bars and beyond.

Still alright la, the petrol is still quite cheap nowadays.
But compare with what the rest is claiming.. vmad.gif
