Luckily, I not really bothered with the 'extra' sound effect since my exhaust sound is louder. Hehehe.

QUOTE(fazron80 @ Jan 11 2010, 07:19 PM) You will be getting yourself a car with a 2.2 inch OEM exhaust piping in a 1.6NA car. Not even ah beng exhaust workshop will recommend installing that big of exhaust pipe and if you ask him to do that they will say you're crazy to fit 2.2 inch to a 1.6NA. So is Proton crazy? Make your own judgement, I myself doesn't think so. Put FPR ler Dissapointingly cps engagement can't be heard on gen 2 cps. If put open pod of course can hear because the cps is on the intake camshaft. Waja can hear maybe because bigger air intake than gen2??? PErhaps next development for campro engine is adding another cam profile on the exhaust cam like on the vtec engine. or can just to turbo it ler Maybe if always bumper to bumper drive? My worst so far is 50km for RM10. That would be around RM40 for 200km. Perhaps campro cps engine consumes too much petrol during stop and go as oppose to toyota. New gen 2 does have that nyek nyek problem Been running on Vpower for the last 2 tanks and notice the FC is very good. In term of cost, almost the same with using ron95. Maybe because I'm a heavy footer... |

QUOTE(pearjar @ Jan 13 2010, 05:13 PM) Don't know actual course... He said while driving, suddenly smoke came out from bonnet.. Stopped car at road side... More smoke came out, run to PLUS ask for fire extinguisher.. But cannot stop fire from burn whole car... Some mech claimed that the hood is too close to the battery terminal and can caused short-circuit when both terminal touching the hood. |

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jan 13 2010, 08:50 PM) The positive wire not insulated properly or some component is stepping the positive wire make the insulated open or socket didn't not connect properly which cause spark when the vehicle vibrate. So singchaii, already got which ECU pin to tap for throttle and rpm signal? it still can short circuit if there is no clearance between the terminal and the fiber material. It happen to then which use aftermarket battery terminal which got screw on top the terminal. Original wont as it have protector in the positive terminal. As for gen 2,persona and waja, it hardly can cause the terminal contact as the battery position being lowered. It usually happen on wira. Added on January 13, 2010, 8:51 pm Agree... But make sure not getting the cheap one and also have a look to the expired date. I have one too but it already expired. |

QUOTE(nayte @ Jan 15 2010, 10:22 AM) Usually rm100.QUOTE(kcng @ Jan 15 2010, 10:23 AM) frankly.... looking at the amount of mods you done on a manual transmission CPS engine and the output figure is only like that.. This Dastek dyno just can measure bhp (brake hp), not torque like other dyno. The way they done this is by holding the throttle at certain rpm (2k, 3k,...7k) and pressed a button that will force the roller to brake, and the amount of movement after the braking will be use for btaining the bhp. The computer will the interpolates the power between these points. it is very disappointing to say the least... 118 HP on wheel... even if with new rubbers... you will be closer to 120 HP on wheel... which in my opinion, a engine kosong campro can still easily put 10HP more with over the CPS with the same mods that you did... i have less mods then you and i am putting out 127HP on wheels @ 6.8k rpm... if i throw in LCP & ECU... i think i can hit 135HP @6.8k rpm... what i am more interested in is the torque curve & figures of the CPS engine after the mods that you have done.. that will be much better... because after all CPS is designed to have a better torque output over the empty campro engine.. sorry ya but the figures for CPS is somehow disappointing to me on dyno BUT the real difference is when you are driving it on the real world as the CPS is much more responsive and willing to go then the lazy bum engine kosong campro... I think there's not much difference in top end power between campro and cps since the campro already comes standard with mild cam and the cps doesn't add up much power, just improve the low end. The reason people complained about campro got no power is because the didn't rev it till the sweet spot. |

QUOTE(kcng @ Jan 15 2010, 10:39 AM) better go dynojet to dyno... Anyone wants to sponsor me for dyno? I'm broke these few month. Next month need to renew insurance and roadtax. the torque curve is what i am more interested in actually then compare the CPS torque curve with non CPS torque curve... non CPS will have a higher torque count but the curve will be gay... very very gay... <-- hate to say this but its true, torque curve is very gay.. CPS torque number will be slightly (1%-3%)lower but it is much more evenly distributed..... |

I've used motul on my motorbike before, both 4t and 2t. The engine is so smooth. Now cannot afford it anymore.

QUOTE(shinjite @ Jan 15 2010, 12:45 PM) sphiroth, what mods have you done to your CPS? K&N drop in, full exhaust with ori piping, LCP and SAFCII. For comparison, this is my 4G92P dyno chart for your reference. Using dynojet so you can see the torque curve. Mods done Perdana TB, Port & Polished head, Matspeed 268 cams, exhaust mods (chaplang), K&N drop in air filter & LCP. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « p/s: nice torque band you got. Mine start to drop after 6k rpm. Added on January 15, 2010, 12:52 pm QUOTE(kcng @ Jan 15 2010, 12:10 PM) lol I meant for my bike. what to do... i made it a point to plan in advance for each service... making sure that its the same oil that goes in everytime Now using castrol edge for my car.
