Gus Poyet , was he the former Spurs or Leeds asst manager? He is not British IIRC .Only rmbr the team was always in the white attire. Memory is not good nowadays. My playing times were in the 80's.

You mean the surround set has a built in Amp & DVD player with upscaling functions to 1080p right? Your std DVD's will look better if the upscaling chip is of good quality. If you were to use wireless then you will also need at least 1 or 2 plug points to power the rear speakers also but it will still look much better than having wires all the way from the front to rear unless you have lots of carpet and lay them underneath it.

Enjoy yourself with your new toy and if you need more info and settings on your set then I believe forummer de_lasoul can help you out. He has a similar unit as yours and also tech savvy.

Yeah he's Uruguayan, and definately played for spurs in the past. I can't remember who he was assistant at.

Yes it does upscale DVDs and outputs via HDMI. My only disappointment with the surround sound system is I can't figure out a way to connect my PS3 to the setup so that it can get 5.1 sound too. There are no optical or HDMI in ports, only the red and white inputs sad.gif (HT-TZ225)

If anyone's interested, about 30min after the installers left I was looking at the TV and noticed that the plastic border around the screen was all scratched up, as well as a couple other aesthetic faults! I called up the guy and he called me back within 10 minutes saying they are more than happy to replace the set (which they will be doing in a couple weeks time). I reckon they were trying to pull a fast one on me by sending me the display unit at full price sad.gif

EDIT: I found out there IS an optical in port on the machine. It's hidden between the HDMI port and the aux jacks. Maybe I need glasses XD
