My iphone is singtel set which is officially unlock. If I jailbreak to 3.1.2 using blackrain, will My iphone unlock effected to locked to the carrier? Will my ipnoe become lock?

i odi upgrade os3.1.2, 04.26.08bb.. but no carrier shows (celcom).. I can make or receive the call.. Just want to know how to show the carrier (celcom).. tq.. |

i'm sorry if this is such a silly question for u guys
never interested in iphone so basically dont have any knowledge about this thing however,my little brother want to bring back iphone 3g , currently using version 3.1.2 (dont know whats this), but the problem here that he says and i quote " no software to unlock 3.1.2 version yet" so,is there anything can be done to unlock the phone so that it can be used here? btw it is a japan iphone ur help is highly appreciated  |

is it really safe to jailbreak my iphone using blackra1n..i bought the maxis iphone 3gs a month ago and i upgraded the OS to 3.1.2 using iTunes..can anyone give me the full process of doing it safely or if there is threads for professionals that could help me jailbreak it in lowyat cos im afraid that it will get bricked if i do it myself..how can i revive if it get bricked??
