I'm using Cygnett. Works fine so far. Charges to the fullest even during GPS navigation. However the battery percentage stalled on my former 3Gs during nav. You can also try Belkin. I'd love to try the one that can be taken out as portable charger, but no stock that day.

I'm using Capdase charger, just bought it a couple days ago in Epicentre, Pavilion.
It's only RM38 so i'd prefer branded more than China product xD

Emm..ironically, Capdase is of China/Taiwan product if I'm not mistaken. And all of their products is officially banned by myself. Capdase flip casing failed my omnia too many times till it fell and scratched here and there. capdase so-called antiglare for omnia is a big failure as well. I'm focusing on branded one only now.

Install papago 7 yesterday. Question, if next version comes out (papago 8), does it get upgraded for free ?

I am looking for a iphone mount for my car. Intent to use it as a GPS or video shooting. Any recommendation ?

Hiyo so many people voted PPG, dunno should i spend RM62 + JB + other hassles to get it to work, or should i just use Waze for now until Garmin comes into Apps Store?

Im so familiar with GMXT for years already.

JB for what? pair with external GPS? don't discuss JB here

Wait for Garmin then. Waze is good only for traffic status while Trapster for police presence.

But both are not good enough as a full fledged nav app

Improve on stability....and probably PPG7 supports IOS multi-tasking...means can run in the background.

I thought u need to JB your set to update maps? No?

Anyway Waze is full of rubbish, especially when you can see cupcakes and candies all over your map which are not POI for cake shop but for you to collect points. rclxm9.gif

Map updates usually comes as part of App Updates which is d/l via Itunes. If u purposely wanna update the map only on your own....its a different story.

Waze at present only useful for me when I wanna know whether any traffic jam / police road block reports nearby my area or along the path I am going.

Not good enough to navigate yet.

sygic has the best interface so far. but hmmm .. something else other than that makes me wanna say it sucks.

same goes for papago, it sucks because while hooked up to car audio to play music, it doesnt know how to tune it down while speaking directions. pretty stupid imo since the rest of the rival apps does it pretty well.

same goes for tomtom, it sucks because it spelled putra heights(damansara) where as putra heights is in subang jaya. no community for map development = FAIL.

same goes for everything else other than garmin that's in my nokia5800 but then again, nothing beats waiting for garmin to arrive on iphone, provided that it doesnt repeat those mistakes the OTHER apps do.

I don't know why people always relate battery draining to a specific app alone while the GPS chipset is obviously the main culprit. Whatever app you use it will suck up the juice

Indeed, any GPS app will suck the batt juice because of the GPS chip...not the app.

@dtdw

I thought I read GARMIN not gonna develop apps for 3rd party device anymore...its GMXT is no longer on going.....from now on, it's all just gonna be in their proprietary GARMIN device....correct me if I am wrong but we wont be seeing garmin on our iphones..
