The Spaniard was forced to sit out this week's internationals against Argentina and Austria in a bid to aid his recovery.

Torres had been keen to face Argentina on Saturday at the Vicente Calderon stadium, which the 25-year-old called home before leaving Atletico Madrid for the Barclays Premier League in 2007.

But Spain coach Vicente del Bosque revealed he had come to an agreement with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.

Barclays Premier League players are rushing to Belgrade. Liverpool’s Glen Johnson is the latest to arrive for treatment, while his Anfield team-mate Fabio Aurelio is also due to see Mrs Kovacevic.

A thigh muscle tear suffered by Liverpool winger Albert Riera has already improved after treatment here.

Try not to play Fabregas in your arsenal team, maybe? Anyway, if you got something better to post, you are more than welcome. If you are here to taunt like an attention whore, you can go and rot in kopitiam or ur beloved arsenal thread.

Arsenal shouldn't have a problem with fabregas anyway. That's why they should sell him to barcelona. But without RVP, case might be different tongue.gif

I dont really care who they depend on heavily anyway. It's just that I m curious what is there for Arsenal fans to brag about ? ManU, Chelsea fans I can understand but Arsenal? Heck, they had more trophy-less season than we did and everytime they went ahead of us in league table around this time, at the end of the season, we are still above them. What is there to come in and brag about it?

I have to salute them for having the audacity to come in and taunt around.

They are trying to tell us that they are the team who spends the least among top teams, but yet able to have the best players. Infact, players like samri nasri, andrei arsharvin cost them above 10million pounds(12 and 15) each. Theo walcott was already a wizkid before joining them. Eduardo costed 7.5 million pounds. so what say you tongue.gif

LIVERPOOL LEGEND ALAN HANSEN HAILS PEPE REINA AS A SAVIOUR

FORMER Liverpool great Alan Hansen says the club would be further down the Premier League if it were not for the brilliant form of goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

The outspoken former defender even rates the Spaniard in the same class as Ray Clemence, widely accepted as the club’s all-time greatest keeper.

The BBC pundit said: “Pepe has been invaluable to Liverpool again this season, and, for me, should now be considered as one of the greatest goalkeepers Liverpool have had.

“He’s right up there with Ray Clemence and it’s probably just as well because if we didn’t have a keeper as good as Reina, we could have been in serious trouble this season.

“Liverpool’s back four have struggled at times this season, but if you have a back four that’s struggling, with a dodgy keeper behind them, then it’s the end of the story.

“Our back four have struggled but Pepe has been a tower of strength. He’s been a model of consistency.

“If he had a weakness when he first came to Liverpool, it was when the ball was in the air, coming across him quickly.

“Initially he had one or two problems with those type of crosses but his judgement is now a lot better. In terms of every other quality you need to have as a keeper, Reina is right at the top of the tree.

“He is reliable, dependable and makes great saves.”

Hansen is looking for the team to start the recovery in Saturday’s Anfield clash with Manchester City.

“The players need to achieve a level of consistency to do that, and if they want an example to follow they need look no further than their goalkeeper.”
