we were indeed doing well until the goal went in..couldnt believe how well we were playing considering the fact that we had brown and evans up against the likes of drogba and anelka..and we matched chelsea at their own game doing well against the heavyweight midfielders they had..god this hurts..

Added on November 9, 2009, 2:22 amits not the end of the world but who wouldnt hate losing in a game we could have won..and that heroic stuff from evans..i better not say more.. whistling.gif

..ronaldo was shit against big team..most of the time..
*
to be fair. Ronaldo was shit at times because he was being *guarded* by few players.... but that indirectly gave the other players some space to move around....

But Ronaldo's gone.. Why do we still bring up Ronaldo?

Have faith .... We deserved a draw but this is football, right?

i just heard the interview with SAF. I can see him controlling his temper not to talk about the refs.... Deep in him, i can see him cursing the referee...

I enjoyed watching Drogba crumpling onto the ground. Yeah it was a challenge from Evans, but the twitching legs and flopping like a fish out of water was priceless. It was like watching an electrocution and I think the referee was disgusted by the over-reaction, hence the yellow card.

SAF tactic is about, er, I think, containing Chelsea attacking maestro..hence packing the midfield leaving Rooney all alone up front, which rarely works..

Cant blame him, seeing how Chelsea go on to a goal spree in their last few matches..

Obertan could be a very big player in the future, really quick feet biggrin.gif

I`m still expecting more from Anderson though...why he still cant shoot..

Tbh I'm getting tired seeing post like this after every big game as though we were set on to play negative from the start. Just look at the possession percentage of the game and how we played in the first half especially. We were on top. And having Fletcher-Carrick-Ando we got the balance right, and have proven very successful in the past that combo, in the big games especially. We were very good going forward although we couldn't create lots of goal scoring chances, but in these type of games, that's usually the case for everyone where the game is even. We just didn't get the break and they did unfortunately.

Everyone played well and I thought Evans was great at the back. Without Vida and Rio next to him, although he has Brown who is very good, but still you don't see too many 21 year old putting that kind of performance in the centre of defence against the likes of Drogba and Anelka. Rooney was good too.

They are different type of players but probably he can be as good as CR7 and Obertan is more towards a "team player" than CR7 was.

Valencia is good but he lost out in term of physical to Chelsea players.. well, he should ask Fletcher how to do more "gym work" .....

He needs to build up his physical a little bit and I am sure the lad is going to be good.

So which part of my post the you are tired of seeing? Referring back to that post, I did say that I think SAF trying to contain Chelsea after their goal spree in last few games.

congratulation. I think u salah road, chelsea thread over there

Nani can get ready to make a transfer already. With obertan making impressing performances, he might not keep his place in the first team, not even substitute
