Penang Toy R Us has a lot of these. IIRC they carry 3 types of different MD clones with them.

One is what Alex posted.
The other one is also handheld and playable on TV.
The other one is only a controller with built in games playable only on TV.

The model with 2 controllers (playable on TV only) is not available though.

I've found the type with controllers only twice before. But both times they're not exactly what I wanted. The 1st was a Street Fighter II Special Championship Edition. The package comes with 2 Megadrive controllers, and SFIISCE built in the controller. Although I had fond memories of the game, it's by no means the best version of SFIICE.

The 2nd version was a collection of Sonic 1-3 built in. Only 1 controller, so can't play Tails in Sonic 2 & 3. I haven't seen the MD Portable around Klang Valley so far. Has anyone?

when you mean by roms, assuming its obtained somehow, issit a matter of dumping it on to a sd card and sticking it into the device ?

Download any MD Roms (SMD or Bin) from Net

This device is using .bin rom file

just use converter change SMD to Bin file will do

just create Game folder in your SD Card.. then copy all .bin roms into it
then can work

any of u guys heard this capcom fighting game called rival school on the ps1?

Yeah.. I think there is a rival school 2 as well.. on the DC. Sakura of SF zero is in on of the school teams.

Just coming back from Alor Setar today.suprisingly there are shops that still selling retro stuffs. one at star parade and one more at city plaza.actually these shops were my favorite shops during my university years, 2000-2003 (UUM). as i remembered these shops selling various kinds of consoles back in the day. so i'm curious and expecting they are still selling some oldies since i assume there were not many gamers last time. i just bought wonderswan color for only rm150, new set.actually there are plenty unit of ws available.the shop also selling saturn gamepad(white),and the best thing is N64 pikachu edition, and many more. but i've no money left. after that, i proceed to city plaza and entering soo ming ent. i asked the tokey if he still keep the oldies and he said he still keep so many kind of oldies in his store somewhere. some of the console that he still keep are neo geo pocket color,snes,dc,gb.but the sad side, i do not have much time to visit his store

There are two shops at city plaza.one is soo ming ent. and another one, i forgot the name. both at the same floor.the ps1 is not at soo ming, but another one. but you also can try to ask soo ming. his number is 012-4982798 (soo ming)
