I don't think I'll have time to look for other stores anymore. Still have two more location lined up for this trip. So this is pretty much it, if you want it, let me know before Sunday. Refund/exchange? I can inspect the item on the spot, but that's about it. Once I buy it, it's final. If it's not satisfactory then I won't buy it.

ok, if they let you check the 3ds and see the contents of the box etc, then please do.

if you think everything's ok and the item is a good used set, then please buy it for me if you can get the price (jpy12500).

thanks for the big help!

wow, that's scary.

well, like blkxiicat mentioned, the battery packs in Malaysia are all fakes, especially the stamina ones.

the only places that sold original battery packs were sony stores in klcc, curve and at 1 time, Berjaya times square.

I bought my batteries (all versions from the 1,800 to 1,200 and 2,200 mAh) from there and sold off a few too.

I have one 2,200 bought since 2006, still working fine on my psp1k (even that ones stock 1,800 still ok)...

damn....lost my chances to buy from there. sad.gif

i presume it is at limited quantity(in sony stores),right? how much did you bought out the 2200 mAH stamina battery? which packaging version? us/eu with 2 piece of cover or japan ones with only one cover? i'm curious to know.... biggrin.gif

ouch... the thief delibrately stole the battery not the psp itself? what an a**hole! vmad.gif

hehe, buying the same thing? thumbup.gif

also, here's some tip to psp's owner with original batteries.

in my observation, psp always overcharge the battery if using normal a/c adapter charger.. moreover it is hot in there, thus reducing battery lifetime. so if it possible, use sony psp external charger like this one to charge the battery:

helps in detecting fake batteries too! rclxms.gif

rant:
sighh....how come vita doesn't have replaceable battery? ok, it CAN be replaced (with some tinkering) but no official battery packs like this one? if the battery dies out, then what? i HAVE to buy a NEW vita? mad.gif

actually, how much does sony charge (for replacing the battery) if the warranty has expired? rclxub.gif

the thief stole my whole psp2k with that battery inside. brought from Play-Asia last time. About rm200+ but worth it. Longer battery life. Downside is the back side of the battery cover is bulky.

IMHO the reason why they make it non changable on psv is due to prevent it from hack the psv. If you know how psp was hacked it was from battery and memory card. ever realize why Sony didn't sub their MMC to other company to make except their own?

over charging? I usually use USB to charge, not wall plug. Now got powerbank more convenient and won't be scared of overcharging

to blkxiicat, my 1st stamina battery was bought during the time when the psp was only available in phat version.

cost was RM180 at sony store. the packaging was the sealed plastic type, not the paper box (Japanese) or like the pic triple posted.

my 2nd one was bought from play-asia in 2011, it was the Japanese paper box w/ 1 replacement back cover. was USD59.90 that time.

the battery isn't really a limited edition type, but it's like a typical 1 time restock item. once it's gone sony rarely If ever restock it.

you know la Malaysians, always try to find cheaper places to shop, sony stores are like premium type stores which never do deep discounts unless there's a clearance sale.

as for play-asia, in 2011 they were overstocking on stuff and always had cheap sales every now and then and gave out coupons like there's no tomorrow.

the battery was around usd69.90 and later on they chopped off usd10 and with coupons you could even save more...

also, I dispute your facts about battery charging. the ori psp charger will not overcharge your battery if you use the correct one

(the psp 3k had a smaller and less powerful charger, I don't recommend using the older bigger charger on the psp 3k).

I also had the stand alone psp battery charger:

Attached Image

this one is the 1st version (with built in flat 2 pin charger) and cannot fit the slim battery (unless you use a dremel to make the slot...).

I got it from japan w/o box, but it works on our 240V supply with a travel adapter.

but it's a slow charger, I think this is the reason why the charging is more 'accurate' from your angle?

psp 2k still use the old charger no problem. it was the pack in charger anyway.

psp 3k can use the old charger but I don't recommend over charging (aka overnight charging or more than 4 hours straight charge).

normally I charge maybe until 90% or so then turn off or remove from charger.

most problems with lithium battery are overcharging (more than 8 hours). older systems don't have cutoff to stop charging once battery is full.

in fact I do this for every one of my new gadgets that have lithium battery, no need overnight charge or overcharging like older nimh batteries.

as for vita battery, apple have been doing this (battery cannot be serviced by customer) since the 1st gen. iPod, so far only small number of ppl complain.

to me it's better this way since piracy is one reason why sony is still losing money and market share to other companies.

Sad news guys. My Dreamcast console could not read any disc when i tried to load it last weekend. The sound of spinning disc is too quiet. The last time I played on it fine was last year. Was hoping to get some 4 player action with my cousins on this baby but this had to happen now. cry.gif

Any tips to fix this guys? Or direct me to shops that can replace the lens? TQ in advance.

Have you ever tried the laser pot tweak? A Dreamcast will not last forever sadly, the console was produced to be cheap from day one. Both of my consoles have suffered a disc read problem before. Trying the laser pot tweak did help, but it's not a permanent fix. If and when it does die, I also need to change the laser on my Dreamcast.

Same here, my 1st dreamcast died 4 years ago. My 2nd 1 just died last month. Now I'm left with the last surviving console. Guess it won't last that long cry.gif
