Not sure what's your budget and if you had the speakers already but another post you can have a look. The AVR included should be Pioneer 819.http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=31321276

Hi all,
I am using pioneer 818, I have 2 front speakers frequency ranges from 40 hz -> 50khz and centre and surround frequency ranges from 85 -> 20k. My question is, 1) I should set my crossover frequency to above 85hz right? since that is the Lowest frequency for my centre and surround speakers. 2) Most of the article in internet teach us to set all speakers to small if with subwoofer, what if I set the front speakers as Large and subwoofer as PLUS. Because for pioneer AVR, there is a PLUS function for subwoofer. Will I get better bass? My subwoofer frequency ranges from 28hz to 200hz. Hmmm, non Pioneer owner willing to share opinion?
Another question here, for Dual Mono setting, the description in the user manual stated -> Specifies how dual mono encoded Dolby Digital soundtracks should be played, 3 Options, Ch1 (by default), Ch2 or lCH1.RCh2 for both channels heard from front speakers, any one know anything about this setting? Thanks. |

QUOTE(mikhaC @ Jan 18 2010, 09:08 PM) I'm looking for a upgrade also. Previously i had RS-7but believe me, for movie is ok, but if for listening to music, even VSX819 can't make it, as it's still counted as entry level I am thinking about upgrading to jamo S-606 HC53 ![]() + jamo SUB-200 ![]() + Pioneer VSX-1019AH A/V receive (In comparison chart, it won against all Denon and also Onkyo) COMPARISON CHART AGAINS Denon, Onkyo and moreCOMPARISON CHART Here |

1. I am comparing between HTP-RS70 and HTP-819SW, and I am wondering which one actually performs better. I understand that both the units are also using AVR VSX-819H-K, the difference is the speakers used. Does anyone care to comment on this?
2. Besides, I was told that AVR VSX-919AH-K does support DTS-HD Master Audio, but this info is not shown in Pioneer website. My concern is if I didn't get HTP-RS70 or HTP-819SW, I will buy either buy VSX-819AH-K or VSX-919AH-K, then buy a separate speaker set, e.g. Jamo. 3. If I were to buy a budget Jamo 5.1 speakers, is there any recommendation on this? last night, I went to HN Ikano, and actually saw the Jamo 5.1 speakers driven by Onkyo AVR (can't recall the model number). Jamo actually performed quite good, and it does please my ears. :-) Thanks! |

Or else, you will end up confusing or over budget with all the poisons here. |
