It depends on the disc , whether they include or not.

But don't worry, the HD Audo file will have the regular DD/DTS core attached to it, so if you can't get HD Audio on your 818 HDMI, you can always just bitstream the HD Audio to the Optical/Coax instead.

Of Course you won't be hearing the HD Audio on your Optical/Coax, but being backward compatible, you will still at least get the regular DD/DTS core which is included/attached to the HD file.

I am planning to get an AVR and BD player. Always been a fan of pioneer but I am torn between Pio 919 vs Denon 1910 and for BD Pio 320 vs Oppo 83.

So does PQLS really make any difference in movies and pure music?

LX-71 is a bluray player rite?

sc-lx71 is av receiver.....if bdp-lx71 for sure bd player.....

ooh... so we don't know which he's referring to unless he's more specific

The diff is the SC and BDP letters.

I had the idea of goin full pioneer to make use of PQLS but after weighing up a few things....ended up gettin myself a Oppo 83....another excellent equipment from a brilliant manufacturer ! Just upgraded to the SE version of it...gotta try it out tonite.....
I had a pana bd-35 for some time before the oppo, as good as the Pana is, it's nowwhere at all close to the speed of operation compared to the oppo.....

First of all guys....i'm located in OZ ( previously from Cameron Highlands )
The first one i got off a local dealer here in Canberra who happens to be teh australian supplier....
The SE Direct from them...Oppo......... I paid USD1025 including shipping IIRC.....,

another USD299 for the upgrade...phew!!

so how does the LX91 sound compared to other brands within the category

so now you can retired your Marantz CD6000 already
always wanted to try the Oppo SE, the audio section should be very good....

well it's still burnin-in, but first day impression :
dynamics ! U can just hear the bass diggin deep and separation of instruments seems to improve by da hour !
But still sounds a bit cold , guess i need to give it more time to burn in.....

Yeap, will depart from the marantz soon ..... but it's a bit close to heart since been around for quite some time, from uni time in KL till now in aussie ...haha

but i'd surely miss the silence of the marantz though..... Oppo has a small fan at the back which is audible when u do close listening in the nite ...

im newbie here...just get my 1019 last week and still palying with the setup as this is my first entry in HT stuff...still many to learn about HT tech and also still many to try n error on this avr....by the way im happy with it....hope to learn more fromm all the experts here....

by the way....anyone that search for pioneer av product can pm me...i can give very2 good price but with only 3 month personal waranty....all item are in open box condition.....i can guarantee not a stolen stuff..... and the condition will be 9.5/10....limited to some model only.....
