QUOTE(azbro @ Nov 11 2009, 05:29 PM) 819 confirm 5.1......I check the pictures of the rear of the amp....the other two are for Speaker B I was wondering how come the power supply at the back says 120v~60hz. Is there a power adapter which can be used for Malaysia's 240v? Speaker A are the main fronts....Speaker B is for another set of speaker just in case you wanna install another set of speakers in another room As mention in page 22 or connecting the speakers Picture of 819 rear ![]() 919 is real 7.1 but if wanna use another set of Speaker for another Room...it can only be configure to 5.1 + 2 in another room as mention in page 16 or connection the equipment Picture of 919 rear ![]() This is quite standard for most amps...you guys long time never play with the backside..only fiddle with the front side OK...mystery solved Was considering buying a unit in the US and bringing it back. I'm assuming the US unit would be the same as the local one? Saw online the prices of the AVR in US is half that which has been quoted to me in Malaysia. Any advice here? |

Err.. but in the photo, the unit was made in Malaysia (see photo) but still had 120v. So wondering if all units are actually 120v and there is a built in power adapter in the power cable..

You input AV cables from Astro unit to your Pioneer Amp. After that did you plug another set of RCA cables out from the Amp to the TV?

QUOTE(birdie103 @ Nov 16 2009, 09:42 PM) RCA (Composite) cables are your Yellow,Red,White.Your 819 Amp probably doesn't convert your Analog video (RCA) to Digital HDMI output to TV. So how you expect to get pic or sound to your TV when you input Analog RCA but no corresponding output to TV Maybe buy a higher end AVR, then it might have that feature. In the meantime get an extra set of analog RCA cable and connect from the Amp to TV . Also select the correct source from the amp (e.g AV1, or AV2 etc). Don't expect the video to be good Added on November 16, 2009, 10:53 pmAnother suggestion is don't use the yellow cable to/from the amp. Instead connect an S-Video cable (or Component Cable, if your Decoder has them) directly from the Astro decoder to the TV. Bypass the Amp completely.
