Eacan may be pretty cheap but the build quality lose to S330/C3

MX5021 pwns all in sq but it's expensive (plus discontinued)

well...A7 may sound pretty good but assembling it is kinda complex and sonic gear kinda have a record on bad products.

Example 2:
Comparing S530D with Harman Kardon Soundsticks 2/3,Aego M,Creative Gigaworks T3

S530D may lose in terms of sound quality but look at the size! it's huge!
if you're just an average dude that knows nothing much,S530D is worth the price paid compared to plastic bottles of Soundsticks,or even average looking of Aego M, and Creative T3 is just too small to be called for that price XD

Example 3:
S550 is cheaper than Logitech Z-5500 and sounded much better plus sturdy build quality.

Note:
don't get me wrong. it's just my point of view.
I'm not biased against other products. it's just an example of why I say Edifier is the cheapest speaker you can get

well this is surely true

surely worth modding for weekend projects
when I test this speaker I could definitely hear crappy trebles due to low quality parts used.
the mid-tweeter do have potential to shine.
so with great caps and such, I bet it'll sound better.

Squeeze up to RM600 and get yourself Edifier DA5000PRO

DA5000 have two midranges in each satellite with no tweeter to help (plus it's made outta plastic)
Pro have the sats to have one mid with one tweeter to help. and it's made outta MDF

I think Mr. Edifier once said they redesign the whole amp unit

and of course da5000pro have no chance to beat s530d

both of them are bassy
A-600II got better mids than M3400
M3400 build quality is more solid than A-600II

for the same price you can consider Edifier S530D,Creative Gigaworks T3 and Aego M

average subwoofer design(I like the concept but they seem to do it wrongly somehow. you could hear distortion if you play it loud maybe 50% volume)
satellites- midrange sounded weak and the trebles could kill your ears with painful needles

can't confirm about g51.

well it depends on taste.
you'll go for logitech if you love boomy bass
you'll go for edifier if you want it tighter
