Edifier DA5000PRO and C6 are just like brothers.
DA5000PRO is great in terms of sound but lacks functionality
C6 (or HCS5640 to be accurate) sacrifices sound quality by a bit just for better functionality and features

on the other hand, Edifier S550 is their daddy of 5.1 speakers
AMAZING SOUND WITH AMAZING FUNCTIONS BUILT INTO IT

for RM250 you can't get anything good.
maybe some logitechs but bass wouldn't satisfy you with that price

you're downgrading... so I guess you cannot do anything much anymore.
can't think of any suggestions except it's lil brother S330D

avoid sonic gear at all costs... they just waste your money on low quality products
if you could top up to RM400 you can get yourself Edifier R501 MK-II
worth every single cent paid.

if not you could get Edifier M3500 for RM320

imo z-2300 got potential.
change the subwoofer driver to a tight one and it sounded seriously amazing

squeeze a lil more and you can get Edifier HCS2330

if not, M3300 is a good choice also still

Edifier M3300 and M3300sf cost RM240

while HCS2330 cost RM289

Go for Edifier M3400 or E3100 for that budget

go for hcs2330... you won't regret.
it has superb sounding for that price

owh... PS3
then this speaker wouldn't work unless you got converters..

squeeze a bit more money and get Edifier S330D so you can use the digital line out
it's RM420+

I guess these aren't great speakers to pair with PS3 and in a living room... multimedia speakers are meant to be for close range listening
you need better system that cost thousands at least

Bose is of course amazing but are you willing to pay just for the brand name? You'll only get 70% worth money paid... another 30% goes to the branding

Harman Kardon Soundsticks III is pretty good. Just enough bass for me though... not sure bout you
Kinda weak in movies though~
Plastic felt fragile to me

on the other hand... Aego M is a pretty fun speaker too
sounds amazing in all terms of music... slightly weak in movies

there's a 2.1 function in it so you can only use that since you don't have any special soundcard.

for clarity I'd go for DA5000PRO
for functionality I'd go for HCS5640

but you gotta test them with your ears (with your favorite music) then you'll know which one sounds best

just play with them for an hour... ignore the seller cuz you are a customer and they have no right to shoo you away from deciding which one to buy.

just ask them politely to silence all the speakers and only play the speakers you wanna hear.

yea you can do that no prob.

just get the ohms to be correct or more and you're good to go.

do note different speakers different power rating... so sometimes this amp isn't capable to have enough juice to power up some speaker

just get the sats to be somewhere ear level... lat the sats stand on solid grounds like bricks,heavy books or inverted heavy glass vase
hanging it on wall isn't good cuz the speakers will sit flat and didn't project the sound properly to your ears.
plus, separate both sats as far away as possible to get better stereo separation

and for the subwoofer... yes, different positions different performance. play around to get the sweet spot.
