The ones now are made where you are currently located or Vietnam.

im not throwing mine away, the memories factor... been thru alot with it. last time it was repaired at jaya supermarket lower grd flr. (the whole tapak came off, now hv to repair inner sole & touch up, rest fine)

Perhaps you could try the leather shop on first floor of campbell. Can't remember the name although just went there yesterday. they are leather specialist. They sell custom made leather boots, readily available boots and other leather products. They also do repair on leather items.

Went there to check whether they could stretch my dr mart to 1/2 or 1 size longer. Weird thing, after about 5-6 years, I put on the boots, after a long walk, my feet hurts like hell, as if the boots shrunk or my feet lengthen. It could be done, but they could not get the same colour for the rubber between the upper parts and the sole.

So I just get the leather protector/softener first to try to stretch the toe box. If that fails, hmmm.

Question is; is there a chance they're selling fakes too?
Cuz I wouldn't wanna get ripped off.

Used to have one DM many years ago when it is in the rage. Made in UK and long lasting but at last, it koyak and I have to throw it away.

there r 3 shops in Campbell complex & 1 shop in Pertama that carry Dr.Martens.
Price range fr 300-600+ (Classic design)

also try "SOLE WHAT" in Sg.Wang, Gardens, 1Utama
fr 499-699 (Contemporary)

any idea if those on rack are uk or china made?

there is only 1 shop in campbell that carries UK made.
Premium rm100+ over those manufactured under license.

mostly in sole is made in thailand & china one's for loafers and chuka..

I found a pair here. Yellow stitching, chukkas. Made in Thailand. I think I can get the man to reduce it to 200aud. But still, more ex than msia =(
