QUOTE(adzyme @ Jun 4 2011, 06:42 AM) I went to solewhat midvalley yesterday. Quite overpriced for the 1460 models going for RM459. Can get around RM350 at campbell and pertama I guess. And the low cut ones, 1461 models goes around RM350+. Wth?! And I guess these boots are one size bigger than the normal shoes like nike sb. These boots seem too big to my foot with the UK9, unlike the UK9 I wear with my sb. I guess I need to try the 1920 boot on my foot before I decide to really buy it. the martens sold at solewhat look different from the ones i saw in singapore and online. could be my own opinion but the texture and shine is just not right. |

QUOTE(71ers @ Jul 26 2011, 10:18 AM) Was at Peninsula Plaza Singapore yesterday, the 1460 8 hole made in UK is S$269. The lady boss said why buy such expensive shoes when the shoes can only last a few years ... i just kept quiet yea gave up on malaysia. gonna make a trip to singapore just for the shoes. friend said shop there was much better than here. and these shoes last forever. i guess the for life versions will survive a nuclear bomb attack.by the way, anybody know where to get these? http://hypebeast.com/2011/07/bedwin-the-he...-dr-know-boots/ This post has been edited by 9ff: Jul 26 2011, 10:47 AM |

A month ago, bought my first ever made in vietnam cherry-red doc marts after many years, having been mingling with shoes of other brands. Having originally planned to get a pair when i go to hong kong. But on some fateful day, asos had a sort of stock clearance sale where the it only costed me around 38 pounds (rougly RM 190). Delivery was free and there were no extra duties charged thankfully.
![]() To be honest i can't tell much difference apart in terms of comfort and sturdiness in comparison to the england made ones, shoes are likely to going to outlive me like every other pair of martens. The soles bounce like they should, and took a while for me to break them in like they should. However one good thing about living in Malaysia is our humid weather where you can soften the leather by just leaving them outside (shaded though), unlike back in the UK when I had to soak them in water, which gives nasty blisters. These shoes are the toughest thing on the streets, breaks people's feet when i walk over them This post has been edited by 9ff: Nov 8 2011, 12:04 AM |
