Dr Martens just collaborated with Raf Simons:
http://www.drmartens.com/ProductList.asp?C...simons&type=All My personal fav is the two-tone 8 holes. Previously Dr Martens collaborated with Yohji Yamamoto and Agnes b. You still can find the Dr Martens x Agnes b in Singapore at Isetan Orchard and Isetan Scotts. This post has been edited by attacusatlas: Nov 2 2009, 06:00 PM |

it seems like there is no love for DM in this forum. Oh well, nowadays not many ppl love the skinhead, punk or mod style.

QUOTE(djduzker @ Feb 21 2010, 10:09 AM) Since 2003, doc marten product in Thailand & China.. yes, most of them are made in China to cut the overhead. However the Vintage line is still being produced in UK but at a premium price.Check it out!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Martens occasionally i do pay a visit to Pertama and Campbell and some of the shops there still carry, in a very limited quantity and size, those UK made. |

you shouldn't let the 'made in china' tag bother you too much. after all, more and more designers have shifted to china for two main reasons: bigger consumer market and affordable labour. you may be aware that burberry and coach are also made in china.
however you still be able to find 'made in uk' dr martens but at a premium. http://store.drmartens.co.uk/c-43-vintage.aspx just for your information, even luxury car manufacturer like bentley is customising models for china market. |

i had treated my crazy horse before; the moulding disappeared and appeared again. after a few treatments, i gave up and threw them away.
to prevent it, it is advisable to rotate them, especially leather shoes. |

QUOTE(Fei Kei @ Dec 15 2010, 08:15 AM) ain't that easy. i sent mine to a professional cleaner to get my pair done. however after a few months, the mould struck back.apparently the roots of the mould were planted deeply into the core of leather. it is best treated at the initial stage of moulding. |

QUOTE(mydelsol @ Dec 15 2010, 05:04 PM) no worries bro, hope you find a good pair, I sure did... glad to be of assistance.thanks for the info much appreciated... BTW here are the pics of my Brownie & Blackie, used alternate days to work..as well as Mr. Mouldy...circa 1999....sayang wanna throw, even though can be salvaged IF I send to a good cobbler.. i doubt he will regain his glory..... both were bought back in 2008 @ Kampung Baru Kedai Jumble @ RM350, they were in mint condition btw was told never to use wax on DM, only normal polish, is this true? btw, i have a similar black, low cut dm. made in uk, without the yellow thread. how about yours? you got it for rm350 for a used pair?? |
