today went fix my exhaust .... how i wish Ipoh were like Setapak exhaust shop every where ... damn ..
went to this one shop, checked and confirmed muffler gone case ... then i changed a straight flow muffler RM250 ... and now damn regret coz faarking noisy la ....
how to reduce the noise? ...
the uncle told me my bullet too short (around 12") ... he say need to have a combination with a 18" long spiral bullet to reduce noise .. is it true ah? .. the 18" long spiral bullet by Panther Rm150 ... really will help reduce noise de ma? ...

let me brief my my car a bit

P. Wira 1.5 Year 2001. ( AUto) 4G15. Aeroback
Milleage agak - agak ( 200K km) as in mid 150K era, my speedometer cable spoilt include meter, so take some time t replace, a new meter installed ( current reading is abt 25K)

Problems so far ( 8 years):

1. Power windows ( benn chnaging more than 5 times)

2. Central locking ( Changing 3-4 times), different issue, lock no power to coem out, auto lock no matter how u opne it, ....) Finally chnage to a recon parts from 90s, then ok until now ( abt 4 years)

3. Water go into rear bonet area and under my car body. Whole inner under carpet is wet. Water from rear parts rubber lining. Spare tyre area flooded. Change a new rubber. problem solved until now.

4. One time, timing broken in middle road, milleage is 15K . Argue with mech bawah pokok, he no compensate to my lost. Never trust mech like that. Luckily, not much damage but cost me abit abt 1k plus, as to repair teh valve.

5.All other is normal wear and tears. DO regular service is to keep the car in good condition. Been usign Fully syn since day one until this year. CHanging to semi.Just weird that i cannot use Shell Helix Ultra. ENgine oil evaporate fast. Other brand no issue.

6. Just change oil seals last week as oil leaking. The LOW OIL PRESSure light out in dash board. Change ATF also. and Gasket too.


7. FC , on new car is much better compare now. in year 2001-2002, can reach 500Km in highway easily , and 400++ in city driving. Now, is abt 360km the warning light come out. Average 380-400 for one full tank ( 38-40ltrs)




MODIFICATION

Really not much.

1. Change rim to 14" from 13"

2. Grouding.

3. VS.

4. Cyclone , micro compressor, e-Power, ( all this not much effect to car power and FC) Just wasted my money .

5. Projector type head lights.



Few question here:

1. I think my ECU still under MMC( mid 2001 only all batch change to VDO). should i go to remapping or reset my ECU?If yes, where to go?

2. my 3rd brake light ( LED type) at the spoiler. Only few left still got lights. HOw do we change it? by LED? change whole LED panel? or change whole spoiler?

1. MMC ecu reset very easy ... just disconnect ur Negative(-) terminal for around 5 mins then put it back ... u can also slowly fine tune it urself at the screw there ... Do clean ur Throttle Body also ...
About ur FC, maybe ur injectors clog? change or take laser cleaning.. or maybe u can try a few aftermarket injector cleaner (not sure about the effect) ...

2. just bring to any accessory shop and they will know wat to do gua ...

ya i use the long spiral bullet to reduce the sound.... very cun... when accelerate > 3k rpm only it scream...

intake n exhaust polish mirror finish...better polish oni...if polish maybe cheaper...

yes...bullet will reduce the noise...

i got wira aeroback spoiler if u want...all led still in good condition...

why cannot mirror finish?..

go replace wit a better motor? change ur door? maintain it by putting some power window oil.. etc etc

Added on November 1, 2009, 2:34 amall talking abt 4g92/95 ... no money to buy that lar... poor me still using 4g15... btw after 3 tank of shell ron95 and everytime rm60 - mileage 390. [yes it drop lolx] knocking sound come back... i feel shell oil not so good. heard frm some mech said that shell oil contain a lot of water? n no clean.
i think i will stick to petronas ron97 since it can let me drive till 480+- with rm70-75.
btw i wan mod my car but dont know where to start from...exhaust system?? expensive like mad if wan use s-flow muff can cost 520 with galvanis metal... 580 for chrome. thats wut kent quote me for. btw who know in the forum got ppl selling carbie cleaner... feel like wan buy 1 can. oly, cheeann which brand of carbie cleaner good?

btw cheeann last thursday wan go find u with alvin but i cant have to cancel bcoz i can wake up n decided to go class kau lui. hahaha. c if eric wan go find u during weekends i go wit him ya. not said i scare to been butt sect just bcoz i duno wan gv u check wut... bcoz i think so my car no prob just the power window switch abit sot2.
