Yeah a simple piece like Romance D' Amour can be quite beautiful if played with feelings smile.gif Keep up the good work and soon you'll be playing songs like Capricho Arabe or the famous Sueno en la Floresta

Anyway do you all think that playing classical guitar is tougher than piano?
*
Yes, the classical guitar is really really tough to play, as compared to playing the piano.

For piano, getting the right notes is relatively easy. Just know where to press, and control your fingers, if you get what I mean. For the classical guitar, you have to find the right notes, then your left hand has to press properly, then you've got to control your right hand plucking..

Haha. I had, and still have, a relatively horrible time trying to work on new pieces. tongue.gif On the classical guitar, of course. Kinda made me regret quitting piano so early, it's so much easier compared to guitar! (Then again, could be because I'm so comfortable with the piano already, but quite new to classical guitar.)

Most people find it difficult producing great tone on classical guitar. It is because you have to directly use your own fingers to hit the strings without third party mechanism such as a pick, bow, key, etc.. Your fingernails shape, the angle that you hit the string, rest stroke or free stroke... are the factors that determine the sound.

but the sound from a classical guitar is really really beautiful i would say. I personally love the sound from a classical guitar compare to piano. But however there are some pieces that only can be play in piano but not in classical guitar. Classical guitar is quite limited to the type of pieces it can play compare to piano.

i also prefer the sound of nylon string than steel string. It's so beautiful, mellow, natural, and touchy when i hear the sound.

chezzball, LYN had a classical guitar gathering in sunway before, it was 2 years ago.. got 5 or 6 people that time. I think we need to make it bigger this time.. haha!

Last 2 years ago was really nice because it's in the big hall and also got a few ensembles that play really really nice song, very impressive.

But last year and this year, the experience wasn't too good. Hopefully next year will be better.

Btw, I got participate in that every year, so I know lah lol rolleyes.gif
