Anyone here is aware of the Classical Guitar Society that holds classical guitar ensemble concert annually in Malaysian Tourism Centre?

QUOTE(kimmiz @ Dec 21 2009, 11:15 AM) i'm actually looking for a guitar for my nephew. he's in college now & have just started to learn to play on his friend's guitar. anyway, i know nothing about guitars. is there a difference between acoustic & classical guitars? which is more suitable for a beginner & is hofman a good beginner's guitar? Although classical and acoustic guitars can be played rather similarly, they have distinct sounds and each of these guitars have their distinct style of play. |

I have a MR too. Model D.
The only quirk that I didn't really like was the 1st string is too near the edge. Most of the time it's hard to do a slur because the string will go out to the edge when I sort of pluck it. Though the sound of the guitar is excellent for its price. |

The strings of a guitar won't matter after playing it for a few months. You'll get used to it.
It's more important to learn the guitar that you're most comfortable with, style-wise, learning-wise and maybe even prospect of joining a band or something. Usually you won't see classical guitarists with bands. |

I'm right handed but I don't think it matters when playing guitar. Because both hands are very important while playing guitar, so both hands must be equally trained.

Hi, anybody knows any software that can convert PDF/scanned files to Guitar Pro tabs, or any other software which can play the music sheet and allow me to listen to it?
That would be very helpful in learning a new piece. |

What do you think is a reasonable price range for this kind of replacing? |

QUOTE(yeehoo @ May 10 2011, 08:24 PM) the labour chargers should not be too high as I told you it is not difficult to do, I guess should not more than RM15, but I never change the tuning machine in shops. Alright thanks! The final cost is depends on whether you are buying cheap tuning machines or not (see whether the shop is willing to sell you one side only or not, usually they are come in pair) |
