I wanna start playing acoustic guitar!! But I think I'm too old to learn already T____T!!

people start learning new things when there 50+ and don't think it's to late and Better late than never

My friend is going to give me his guitar because he's buying a new one. It's not the electric guitar. But I'm not sure if it's classical or acoustic .___.;;

ya...its two different type of guitar....acoustic is Steel strings,classic guitar is nylon string....

OHH!! I think its classical guitar! Cuz I tried that day pressing on the steel stringed guitar and my finger hurts like maddd. ><

my finger is really short and I have a very small mini hand. :S I hope I can reach the notes. My hand is REALLY REALLY small. Do you know any website that can teach me the basics? >< or where did you learn it from by yourself?

i learn acoustic on www.justinguitar.com or youtube....and classic guitar is usually suitable for ladies

because it is nylon string and easy to play compare to acoustic...

The strings of a guitar won't matter after playing it for a few months. You'll get used to it.

It's more important to learn the guitar that you're most comfortable with, style-wise, learning-wise and maybe even prospect of joining a band or something.

Usually you won't see classical guitarists with bands.

ohh yeah I can barely press on the steel guitar string. The first time I pressed on it I was like "OH MY GOD. VIOLIN WAS SOFTER"

I'm right handed but I don't think it matters when playing guitar. Because both hands are very important while playing guitar, so both hands must be equally trained.

That's what I thought too but then one of my friend was like making a big deal out of it. xD

for my grade 2 exam i can have the option to choose. and i did not do scale/arpeggio. opted for technical suite instead

i also started quite late ma..18 yr old..now 20 only first time take professional exam

Oh.. can you play like. alot of songs now? Or there are still some parts that you can't really play yet? the only thing I'm scared of is that I can't reach notes or change chords fast enough. I tried that day and my friend was like "omg you're like friggin slow". anyway congrats on your first exam!!
