Tried that on ATM that won't dispense RM 3K, was not charged, but I can't withdraw 1.5k also. So I don't think it will apply.

Coz, apparently, when I cancelled my BoA checking account, the check card is also cancelled

I only got the check card, which can be used to withdraw from savings / checking account when I use the ATM in the states.

Anyway, I just requested for the ATM to be sent over to me now (which can only be used for ATM transaction)

Applied the Alliance Platinum Debit Card today.
Like to 1.5% rebate.
Hate the RM12 annual fee. And this fee is charged upfront. Deducted from me on the first day.
Has anybody tried asking for waiver of annual fees on Debit Cards?

If banks can waive the annual fee for Credit Cards, then why don't the banks waive the annual fees for Debit Card?

Other than Maybank, Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank also offer FREE debit cards. However, please note that T&C apply. For example :

Citibank Citibanking ATM/VISA debit card (blue color), you will be charged RM8 for the issuance for the card. There is no annual fee whatsoever. As for Citibank Citigold ATM/VISA debit card (gold color), it is totally free !

For Standard Chartered Bank debit card, only certain types of accounts that offer FREE debit card such as :
- Basic Savings Account
- Senior Save Account
The Priority Banking VISA debit card is totally FREE too.

I used to have Standard Chartered debit Mastercard. It came with my e$aver savings account and i paid RM8/pa for it and no. It doesn't give you any cash back and neither does it have any point accumulation program.

I got a question to ask. I just convert my Maybankard ATM card to the Maybankard Visa debit card. I wanted to buy something online but some online stores only wanted credit cards. When I ask them whether can use a debit card they replied no but they ask me to try.

Does anybody who use the Maybankard Visa debit card bought stuff online? Can it be used or not?

I'm asking because I want to ask around so I can get some feedback from you guys.

i got a question here, if i need it for paypal account or swipe the card when i do shopping, how much balance should i have in the card? i mean the minimum amount of money in my account

Hi all, can I know which Debit card allows me to:

1) Use the money in my saving account through debit card
2) Able to view statement online
3) Able to use the debit card without going through top up processes
