let them fled, in first quest if you cannot finish off. Your damage on the elder will bring forward to next quest.
so kill him in the 2nd quest. don't worry about him fled away.

i think xcalibur meant is we rather play "ahem"   rather then ori since we pay a hefty lot ( in our own consent/ just another 1 cent) while others actually get the game , just that he ter-off topic n his reply combined the mh3 into the things he said.

just started playing this few days ago..

anyone managed to break daimyo cermitaur shell using gs here? I'm trying to get the wyvern skull shell.

You CANT break shell by using cutting damage weapon like GS,LS,DS.

If you wanna break, then you have to use hammer or lance/GL.

Erm..you can ONLY get monster broth from Vespoid Queen 

Tips: IF you kena the minus defence status from queen vespoid, dont worry, just eat armor seed then will repel the status.

If you mean low rank and high rank then easy. Yeah get fast charge better. but preferable if you dont have acess to sharpness +1 or AoU, i sugest u use Attack Up Large better. More practical. Because Fast charge will only work best
on AoU and Sharpness +1

Last time i just used poison sns to farm vespoid for monster broth but seldom get ..then i pissed off and just killed Q.V. each quest can get 2-3

wow wtf, managed to clear the rajang/tigrex quest with only 30 seconds left! wtf...
i'm still using wailing cleaver, is there any better ls i can use? the blango destructor?

Oh..u mean the Diamond Dust quest? It used to be my favorite quest as i depend on this quest to get my rajang x armor because the rajang easier to fight. but the bacd thing about this quest is when the boss die, u just carve mega potions.lol

Wailing cleaver is good against tigrex but not rajang ( rajang immune to thunder  )
but anyway, have you tried out GS for this quest? With gs, you can clear the quest in 25-30 minutes.

Just get the grand pincer GS and rathalos x set, gemmed for sharpness +1 and short charge jewel to cancel the negative long charge skill then you will be fine.

Erm..actually Red WIng isint pure raw GS cox it still have fire element. Raw Gs = Pure Raw, no element. I bet you can manage to get a better time using pure raw gs.

by the way, the tigrex you meant is what rank tiggy?

What HR Rank are you? A good hammer to go after is to get is Juggernaut for starters. For me, I will not be bothered with elemental damage unless you already completed most of the things and you have nothing better to do than to collect hammers lol, raw damage and sharpness is actually what I will be considering.

Looking at the link above (if you can't see, just go to Hammer list and look at the first few rows), Juggernaut hammer upgrades is somewhat the easiest to obtain, all you need to do is go farm or mine/gather bugs and u should be able to make your hammer in no time, just get what you can from the upgrade tree and go on from there..

Here's a list of hammers that I made back then.

1. Onslaught Hammer was the first hammer I made because it is the easiest to make, but you need Sharpness +1 to boost the sharpness to Purple.
2. Diablo Chao Broker, this is considered the best hammer in game for most people due to the damage, same thing as Onslaught, you need to have Sharpness +1 to make it Purple.
3. Tigrex Hammer, this hammer is -30% affinity but it's the only hammer with long Purple Sharpness by itself and high raw damage.
4. *Deep Darkhammer (I think the name is wrong, but you can make this from Nargacuga parts), this hammer has the highest affinity (50%) and also short Purple Sharpness but has the lowest damage among the good hammers, the affinity offset the lost of raw damage.
5. Khezu Hammer, this hammer has good raw damage n pretty high lightning damage as well, since your a bow user, it shouldn't be hard for u to hunt khezu i suppose?

This list is my own personal listing, others might have better suggestions but to me, all these hammers served me well until end game..

Note: You need the proper armour to fully utilize the damage outputs. A good start would be Cenataur armours. Skills you should be looking for, Short Charge, Sharpness +1, Sharpsword (so u can pound more, useful against big bosses like LSL or SGR).

Thunder Hammer's Path: Bone Club -> Cyclo-Hammer -> Atlas Hammer -> Khezu Horn -> Khezu Horn + -> Purse Bop -> Purse Bop + -> Khezu Thunder

Juggernaut Hammer's Path: War Hammer -> War Hammer+ -> War Mace -> Iron Striker -> Iron Striker+ -> Anvil Hammer -> Onslaught Hammer -> Blacksmith -> Juggernaut

Chaotic Order Hammer's Path: Bone Club -> Cyclo-Hammer -> Atlas Hammer -> Kut-Ku Jaw -> Kut-ku Pick -> Hard Bone Hammer -> Hard Bone Hammer + -> Diablos Hammer -> Diablos Chaos Broker -> Chaotic Order
It's true that Hammer deals a whole lot of damage, but it takes lots of patience and u really need to find opening to hit. As hammer is a slow weapon, u need to time urself correctly/properly to prevent getting hits since you can't block. Rolling and timing is the key to using hammer.. Triple pounds although it's damaging, hardly u will get the chance to do a full pound on bosses (if traps then diff story), so probably u need to learn up charge pound. A lot of ppl will suggest using Mega Juice for hammer (since ur stamina is drained when u charge up ur hammer) but I would recommend playing without relying on Juices so u will know when to charge, when to release.. A good practice on timing..

I think your biggest difficulty is not understand enough the attack pattern of Plum D. Study it and learn when is the opening and attack it.

Tips: NEVER stand behind plum D except you want to break the shell.If not, 80% of the time you stand behind it you will be bull-headed by it. Just keep super pound its legs,make it collapse and TP its head.

Preferable you have Grank equipment. BUt with high rank equipment, you CAN kill it, just consume more time.I used to use juggernaut to hammer it. Plum D will down in 25-28 minutes.

Yo Zam, If you want the easy way, just stand under between its shell and body, and launch infinite combo ( Triangle+Circle and Circle) you should manage to repel it.
